go for your life Pete...lovin it.
btw, I have Kenny Foords autograph!

Photo 3...Are you sure that is Graham Atkins...If I had to say who I thought it was I would have nominated Jim Porter...
Yeah I think it is Pete. I did think it looked like him anyway, but it actually says it in the writing in the bottom right hand corner, but you can't read it.
the lack of curls in his hair makes me think that it's not Jim porter..Nifti Glover maybe??
Oddly enough guys,I have this SMH shot of Graeme Atkins(he was after all the Luke Burt of his day and a particular favourite of mine).I believe it couyld have been taken seconds before that shot (same other players in the shot I think)
Unfortunaely I can not locate the album at present(was showing it to youngens at GF time) and our broadband has slowed to pretty much zero til the endof the month.
So I will post it here when it comes to light and the month changes;-)
Book of Grand finals lists #5 as Atkins. Hope this helps.
Gees, I can be wrong after all...
Well, blow me down with a feather.

but was that photo taken at the 77 Grand Final??
Here comes the cavalry...coming to save me...maybe I'm not WRONG...It just doesn't look like Atkins to me...

A few more from Parra Pete's scrapbook...
22. 1964 signings
23. 1964 trials
24. 1964 good form
25. 1964 Ron Lynch
26. 1964 Derek Hallas - "Derek moved to Inverell after his time at Parra. My brother Paul, played with Derek at Inverell and coached the Swans (as they were known then- now Hawks) the Year before and the Year after Derek. Derek became a family friend, and is a good bloke..."
I never realised we had so many poms in that 64 side PP?
I don't think Nifti Nev played in '77 Stagger. I can't see him in the team photo.
he was definitely at the club but may not have played the gf...I'm pretty sure the wingers for the 2 games were Atkins and Porter
Here comes the spanner.....Are you sure it is No 5 and not 15....
Ed Sulkowitz scored the try to level the scores at 9 all. It was the first game NOT the replay. I am pretty sure John Baker was injured in the first match and did not play in the replay.
Check out the boots on G Atkins and J Porter in the Team Photo, and have a look at the boots on the player in question..Adidas, clean, with bright white stripes. Jim Porter's boots look like they have a yellow stripe, and Graeme's nothing at all.
I think from memory Mark Levy started at 5/8 in game one and Bomber came off the bench. John Baker started and Denis Fitz was on the bench....but it is really testing my memory. I know John Baker was a very good player..
If I remember correctly Ed Sulkowitz had his wedding the Friday before the replay Grand Final....I think his brother Ted may have been in the replay team bench.
Nifty Glover had a blinder in the Parra side's win over Manly in the Reserve Grade grand final..coached by Len Stacker. I think I saw somewhere this year that Len was still coaching in the NSW Cup, or Bundy Cup...one of them anyway..He'd hafta be getting on a bit now!!!!
