Only four teams can win the comp

Much bigger gulf between the bottom 3 and the rest than there is the top 4 and the rest. There are a few mid-table teams capable of threatening the ones at the top if they get their act together.

Manly are looking terrible at the moment but they're still a much better chance than the Donkeys.

Once you guys get Brett Stewart back, Manly will easily finish in the top 8 and maybe just scrape into the top 4. No need to press the panic button at the Northern beaches just yet.

Way too early to make a call like that. The Storm and Manly are in slumps at the moment but I'm expecting both to come good. I don't know if Souths and the Roosters can keep up what they're doing at the moment all season. I'm expecting them to hit a slump at some stage. How big of a slump (if any) they hit though will decide where they are come the end of the season.

Not sure about the others. Sharks are looking good but I can't see them matching it with the top sides come the finals. After last week the Raiders looked ready to go on a run and potentially challenge for the premiership, but their performance today has given me serious doubts of that. Broncos and Titans are up there but they look a class below the likes of Souths and Easts. The Knights are consistently inconsistent. If they can keep playing like they did today I think they can give the comp a shake, if they play like they did against the Raiders they wont make the finals at all. Can't really see any of the other sides being up there come the end of the year. Penrith will be interesting to watch.

i disagree.

Can anyone honestly count out a star studded team like parramatta? They've got the hayne train who has been in his best form since 2009. Players like sandow and reni are coming along nicely.

Lets not forget the dogs of war. They have beaten teams like parra, warriors, tigers, and sharks. The 2012 grand finalists are surely going to give it a big shake.

Manly and melbourne are in form slumps, their dominance is over. Souths will never go all the way. Roosters are 2nd place specialists.

worst post ever!

Sorry for all the people about the spelling mistakes. Cant you guys focus on the discussion.

Anyway...no one ever gives manly the recognition they deserve but even i will admit that they should have beaten at least one off roosters or rabbiThe. But anyway, i know its a cleeshay but we like going under the radar

What will everyone be saying when the mighty eagles are premiership winners again. Might be a good time to bet on the right now. Good money

PS i know cleeshay is not how you spell iot but you know what i mean

After that game against the Panthers I just can't see them winning it.

Yeah, and after merkinerbury put 60 on the Roosters how many people thought they could make the grand final?

Every year you get a nuffy team like NZ and Canberra who put on a few wins at the end of the season and fluke their way through to the finals and this season will be no different.

The only teams you'd really write out of the 8 at the moment are Tigers, Warriors and Parra.

As for grand final, I'm thinking 2 of Melbourne/Souths/Roosters will contest it.

Raiders and Knights remain dark horses - 5% chance each of winning the premiership. Sharks 1%, Manly 10% .

The remaining 79% - Storm 35%, Souths 33%, Roosters 11%.

According to my calculations anyway

I dunno if the OP has noticed, but the Broncos and Newcastle are crawling up the top 4's arses. Wallace could get an early release to go to Penrith, and if we can find a suitable replacement, we could be a big dark horse (pun intended).

Brisbane a chance of winning the GF let alone making it. Bwahahahahah
