I don't think Farah needs a break. Thought he kind of proved it this year. Got a heavy head knock and still played a good 80 mins in game 3 bar the bad play the ball. Game 1 and two he was great

When you look back through history a dummy half off the bench has always worked wonders for us, Craig Wing was great at it and Gidley did an underrated job imo, always looked dangerous.

I don't think playing a dummy half off the bench purely for their running ability out of dummy half is that bad of an idea. Just not sure if we have a player who fits the job description.

Let's not kill the careers of the two Reynolds boys.

Both good players, but give them a couple years first. At LEAST two years playing full time

I'd like to see Sutton though. Not as a five eight but as a back rower. I think he could cause some damage

Though NSW has some very high quality back rowers anyway

Not ever! He's nowhere near rep class and we have much younger backrowers that need to play before this hack eg. T. Sims.
I know your a Souffs fan and would naturally have bias but the way he went missing when Reynolds got hurt the other night was pathetic and showed exactly why the peaheart simply wouldn't cut it in origin

True, but Farah plays different to Buderus. Buderus / Wing worked well because it had toughness, leadership and spark.
Farah has abit of each of these qualities, he is a complete hooker like Smith is (although Smith is better at it), whereas I think Buderus and Wing while being great in some components of hooker lacked others, eg Buderus didn't have a kicking game.

Also J. Reynolds isn't as experienced or better than Wing (yet anyway).

It could work in maybe 2 years but I think J.Reynolds still has a bit of a way to go yet to be good enough to replace Farah during any stage of an origin game.

Farah isn't a dynamic runner out of dummy half though, he's a creative player but he's not what I'd call a good running dummy half. I also don't think Josh Reynolds is in that mold either (not to mention his defence is average at best), Gidley would be my first choice given he looked dangerous coming of the bench in the limited opportunity he got.

I didn't drop Grant. Same as I didn't drop Watmough.

Lewis should be a certainty now and I don't think Jennings deserves to be in the side over any of the other outside backs.

Didn't you drop Grant to the bench?

Jennings performed much better at club level than Lewis did this year

I thought Farah did well running from dummy half in game 1 to take advantage of our massive forward momentum. But I can see where you are coming from. Gidley is a good defender, good dummy half runner but lacks a little creativity and can have brain snaps. But I am happy to agree to disagree haha.

Hooker isn't our greatest concern anyway

Surely after last nights showing people don't need more convincing that Williams just isn't up to this level.

Poor performance, but perhaps Des will be able to get him firing again.

That bump he loves to do in every run is just stupid imo - he sends a defender flying, but it just kills his momentum and lets the others bring him down. Just needs to find the halfback and run straight.

If he doesn't improve again under Hasler he shouldn't be picked

8. Gallen (c)
9. Farah
10. Tamou
11. Lewis
12. Bird
13. Fensom

14. T. Sims
15. Watmough (used how he is at Manly)
16. Woods
17. Grant

Might be biased being a Sharks supporter but the bolter next year has to be Wade Graham. He's twice the player Fensom is and should slot onto the bench and give plenty to the team.

1. J Hayne
2. B Morris
3. M Jennings
4. J Morris
5. A Uate (Still an awesome option despite one bad performance)
6. T Carney
7. A Reynolds
8. Gal
9. R Farah
10. J Tamou
11. L Lewis
12. A Watmough
13. G Bird
14. W Graham
15. T Sims
16. A Woods
17. T Grant

Totally agree mate, I'd love to see him given a shot. I think he would be the best option as a bench utility for NSW

Different type of players so it's hard to compare. But i definitely agree that Graham would be there next year, I wouldn't complain if he was there this year either.
I just think having a Fensom type player in the 13 for the next 5+ years at least could be very handy.

They are indeed very different players. Fensom is a very solid defender but in my opinion doesn't offer all that much in attack. Graham has the defence of a lock with the attacking abilities of a five eighth. Plays a lot like Freddy fittler and he was pretty handy at origin level. Plus the level of aggression that wade has discovered this year is perfect for origin. Above all else he's only 22, meaning he can be in the side for years to come.

I do believe that fensom will be there one day though. Just not 2013

Looking at Fensom's last 8 games of the season he made
70m, 57 tackles
102m, 45 tackles
109m, 37 tackles
138m, 28 tackles
161m, 51 tackles
95m, 39 tackles
172m, 52 tackles
79m, 62 tackles

and he pretty much replicates these numbers week in week out, to say his attack is average is pretty harsh. He is a younger version of Paul Gallen.

IMO Graham could be there, alongside Fensom and T. Sims. We pretty much have the best young type of backrowers (ballplayer, workhorse and hole runner/impact) respectively, in the game.

The only problem I see with my forward pack is the inexperience off the bench, however they are all such quality players.

Regardless I think we can all agree Graham and Fensom should and will be there in the future, whether its 2013, or 2014/15 as guys like Lewis, Bird, Watmough and Gallen begin to age
