Misinformation ... what a wonderful buzzword that has panned out to be .... excellent in a propaganda campaign .... i reckon there is a pretty good chance anyone who brands something "misinformation" is full of shit.
Misinformation is a polite way of saying lies. There are plenty of lies out there, especially in politics. The point about misinformation however is that it is designed to sow the seed of doubt.

Every day actually.

Ok then. Big deal. You catch a train from Edgecliffe, Bondi Junction or Kings Cross to where > Martin Place or Town Hall?
What about the rest of my post? Care to address that?
This RTBU union action is an absolute farce.

100 hours a week? That works out at 14+ hours a day if you worked every day. So assuming you got at least 1 day off per week, you'd have been averaging nearly 17 hour days those other 6 days...

Allaned by Domino's.....

Mate, I'm not even kidding - as a Store Manager, you don't get paid overtime.

So when all my pizza makers, and drivers, left to find proper jobs, I was doing open to close, 7 days a week.

My store opened at 11, but to do the day's prep, you'd have to start at 7 (or the day's dough wouIdn't proof in time to use that day).

Closed at 10pm Mondays, 11pm Tuesday to Thursday, 1am Friday and Saturday, and 11pm Sunday.

Factor in the cleaning of the store (which you could only do once you closed, to not track more dirt around), washing all the empty pans, knives, etc. Plus rostering, time sheets, stock ordering...

I learned a lot from working there; I also slept 3 or 4 hours a day, and lived on a diet of pizza, because as a manager, it was free for me.

The Telegraph article is a bit histrionic... including government quotes about "the hundreds of thousands of commuters who are suffering".

The only things I've "suffered" as a two-days per week hyrbid working communter through these actions is not having to tap my Opal due to gates open, and I think one additional day of WFH just in case when there was a planned 6 hour non-peak outage on my line (which apparently didn't end up disrupting any peak services anyway).

Government has been trying to neutralise it's previous transport f**k-ups from beckoming the election issue it should be - by using its friendly Murdoch rag to attempt to demonise of the Union. It's only natural the Union and its workers choose to organise and take some actions to fight back betwen now and the election. The state LNP reaps what it sowed...

Meanwhile, a credible news outlet explains why this action is currently dragging on:

"The Fair Work Commission hearing commenced at midday on Tuesday but was concluded within the hour, after lawyers for the state government requested an adjournment, stating they needed more time to prepare.

They told the commission that their clients had not been able to meet the timetable..."

and...

"RTBU state secretary, Alex Claassens, said the adjournment was "disappointing".

"Our lawyers were able to work over the weekend and prepare for the case," he said.

"But it is what it is, and we'll just have to wait on the commission to hear the case."

The union has agreed that no major industrial action will take place while the matter is before the commission.

The hearing will recommence at 10am on Friday.

Come on Gronk. The RTBU are just taking the piss. This is NOT about safety at all. It is about the jobs of guards, and wages. The Union do not like technology taking jobs. Well, they better get used to it.
Did you not see that the National Safety Regulator had already deemed these trains safe for operations? The Sydney train system is archaic due to the Unions. The amazing success of the NW Metro has proven how far behind the rest of the world we have fallen.
Surely you can see that, considering you have travelled overseas and seen far better transport systems?
I'm actually glad that Perrotet has called them out.
Clearly, you do not catch trains. My daughter has missed so many days of her drama and acting degree at Moore Park because of the RBTU's actions. She has so much making up to do. The union don't give a f**k about the public and people like her.
As you know, I'm a construction worker, though now self employed.
I have, in the past been a union member, and benefitted from union action and was very much appreciative of it.
I've also seen the shit side of them, losing wages because they shut down sites with bomb threats.
This campaign is nothing more than blackmail.
Some of those demands I quoted above are just crazy. I applaud the Libs for telling them to get f**ked.
We don't live in the 70's anymore.
Glasson's obviously still has that mentality.

Ha. You want to see the automation being developed. At tooheys 52 forklifts drivers where replaced by a robotic system that can pick a pallet off a rack and load a truck. 12 mins to load a semi.

These self automated warehouses are popping up everywhere. I have helped wire quite a few.

The next big things is trucks. The expense is huge for companies. I'd back that within 10yrs a lot of those long hauls will be replaced by automated trucks. They'll have cameras etc and your driver will be sitting in an office and co trolling 4 or 5 of them.

People wynge about technology but we don't use horse and cart anymore so it isn't anything new.

Shit. If I stay back more then 10mins I always stretch a few times and pack up slowly just to get it closer to 20mins so I can wack on an extra half hour. Old tradesmen's taught me this.

What's f**ked is fares. Why should some person travelling from Penrith to city pay more to get to work? They are already disadvantaged by using more time. Honest people trying to get to work yet slugged maybe an extra $50 a week cause they can't afford to live in the city?
To me that's ridiculous. Should be a set fee.
X amount for work travel.

Ok so give me an example of when the word “misinformation” has been used outside it’s definition. Because for me, misinformation is most definitely a deliberate fabrication and manipulation of the facts, designed to deceive and change the way people think.

When I have caught a train to work it's quite ridiculous getting home. Crammed like sardines on a hot day after being up at 5am.
If we want safety how about limiting numbers on passengers
All trains are air conditioned these days ?

Anyway soon trains will be every 10 mins to most Sydneysiders, so just catch the next one.

You’re confusing me a bit. The Sydney Metro is under construction and will start to “test and commission” commencing 2023. I believe its the south western bit that runs from Chatswood to Sydenham. Of course the Rouse Hill bit in the NW is part of the Sydney Metro and is already open. Am I wrong ?

It doesnt matter what the definition of the word is .... its who an how its used. Too often the merkins using the word against others are the pricks misinforming

You want to go down the covid path? ... heres a zinger, the "vaccine" will stop transmission

Well I guess you would have to drill down to the motive of the statement to determine if it was “misinformation” ie, deliberately misleading with thought manipulation the goal or if it was just wrong because what they thought would happen, didn’t happen. Also were early assumptions based on the alpha version of the spicey cough vs the delta, omicron version of the SC. Did science lie or did science just f**k up ?

What do you consider most sydneysiders? Rouse hill to bankstown. I dont think most sydney siders live in those corridoors.....And soon?... when will things be finished? ... any plans for the metro (edit: the full metro, not just one line) being completed are far off and they will only get further under procrastinating Labor goverments .... the heavy rail wont disappear overnight if at all and it will take time, money, effort to change its signalling to allow more frequent trains and then you have to buy the trains - all affected by more procrastinating

Science happened in a way nature was always going to do it ... many people knew ...... but pricks misinformed while lying that others were
