After signing up to Kayo I started to watch the trial through it. Just after the quarter time break it cut to an ad break and went back to the beginning of the broadcast. not sure what the issue was.
I logged out and watched the rest through the Eels website with no issues.

Also a reminder that the next stage of Disney domination of televised media starts tonight. I’m telling you it won’t be long and you can add Disney/ESPN to this thread title

Pretty sure they (Disney) have owned ESPN for a while.

The House of Mouse has owned 80% ESPN for a while now, since 1996, as well as the American ABC network in the 90's.

Disney+ is releasing Star as it's 6th tile today, which I beleive is the FOX film and TV library. Star in India will brodcast the IPL, not sure if the rest of the world get that streaming coverage.

One day you will look back at this post on your Micky PAD pro and remember with wonder a time when everything wasn't disney.

As others have said they’ve owned it for decades but they are modelling consolidating properties

They bought Pornhub a few years ago and there was very little about it in the papers.

Pornhub is owned by MindGeek

Pornhub was founded by web developer Matt Keezer as a website within the company Interhub, and launched on 25 May 2007.[16] In March 2010, the company was purchased by Fabian Thylmann as part of the Manwin conglomerate, now known as MindGeek.[17] In 2013, Thylmann sold his stake in the company to senior management – Feras Antoon and David Tassillo.[3] As part of MindGeek, Pornhub makes up one of several pornographic websites in the company's "Pornhub Network", alongside YouPorn, RedTube, and others

My Disney app updated to include Star yesterday and there are now a few hundred movies along with shows like Futurama, Family Guy. So far they prolly only have 50% of the content of Stan or Netflix. All the same, you will find that tones of block buster flix have been removed from Netflix et al and now only appear on Disney. Pirates of Caribbean etc. I watched Deadpool last night in 4k.

I have a collection of these streamers ATM (Prime, Stan, Netflix, Apple+*,Disney, Kanopy*, Foxtel Now*, Kayo) and reckon that I’ll start suspending one or two and reactivating them when the need arises.

Content streaming is rent-seeking in its most contemporary format. I guess people can always choose to not watch that thing they love.
