This explains everything DS has said in this thread.
Hes an Alan Jones listener.
Spot on - the sheer ignorance & stupidity that DS has exhibited in this thread is staggering.
No point even trying to start explain his level of ignorance to him.

As for Reefy - well his "we can't monitor & isolate the true effects of climate change until we have mainstream quantum computing" ... utter bullshit, and just completely bonkers.

Bad luck to all voting for a tax break, it ain't happening this year.
But the penalty rates are gone for some still.
Still have heard zero acknowledgment in regards to Indigenous people. Typical LNP, nothing happened.
Wonder who Fifita voted for.

Well it(tax breaks) is.It may be a little late, but the ATO has stated retrospectivity is not a problem.

I'm in the same boat,BUT I do not approve of the no policy this country has towards my bloody power bills. I also do not approve of cutting people's penalty rates. Meanwhile people receiving over a 100k a year will be paying 30 per cent tax. What happened to a fair go for ALL Australians

From what I understand the Government has made it a priority to get power bills down.
But you won't get them down relying on complete renewables at present.if the sun don't; shine and the wind don't blow, you need back up.
Well the areas with working class people, in outer suburbs and regionals responded to the fair go argument. They didn't believe they'd get a fair go.Nor for some their grandfathers or fathers .

They didn't appear to care for the coal miners and people working in industries that depend on that resource area. The local Labor Fitzgibbon member got hammered with a huge swing against him in the Cessnock area.

When someone tells you they are going to do something really big and beneficial great, but don't know how much it's going to cost. How about fuel taxes ,increases in electric power, tax on bigger vehicles. They don't give a stuff about the farmers in the bush, who need diesel etc. to survive.

Then we get the advertisement ,"I can't afford to go to a doctor".96% of people pay nothing going to a GP who bulk bills.

It didn't seem to sink in, to Bowen , you can offer the world to people, but in the end people are trying to survive each day. They want certainty of employment, to be able to service their mortgages, retirees most not wealthy live out their lives and be able to pay medical bills.

I agree something should be done re penalty rates, but Govt's paying pre school teachers the extra , then other poorly paid people feel they are being treated unfairly .A. decent minimum wage should be set by the Commission not Govt as a matter of urgency.
I also don't like large sums going to exclusive Pirvate schools.

Hawke and Keating got it right fair go for all.Shorten and Bowen got it wrong. If they'd have stuck to the UN renewable figure instead of the 45%,the effect in the coal industry would not have been as great. And once you start hitting the elderly in whatever shape or form, you are also taking on their families.
Dumb decision and Bowen wants to try for Labor leadership.

You bring people together, such as an accord. You don't go in with a sledgehammer. That's' why I voted for Hawke during those years, and why I didn't vote for Shorten.

You lefties need to take a deep breath and get over your disappointment.

It’s been 3 days after the election and you are saying promises haven’t been implemented yet.

And the Liberal Government has done more meaningful things for Indigenous people than any lefty Government ever would.

Gee the Liberal/ National Government is so bad and mean yet it has won the last three elections.

Imagine how bad the opposition party must be then.
What have the LNP done for Indigenous Australians. Show us some facts.
You do realise suicide rates are higher and poverty has increased. It is an important issue , these are fellow Australians still suffering.

Old Allan Jones, mouth piece for the LNP. Dumbing down facts for the imbeciles who can't think for themselves, probably tipped the election in LNP favour.

They won't get power prices down in the next 3 years. Firstly the banking and mining industry have always lobbied for the LNP. Secondly in NSW the coal plants are soon to be shut down which will cost a bomb to replace and guess who is paying for that

I think miners(most of the time Labor voters) and their families are more than capable of being rational on how their jobs will be affected. They let Bob Brown's petrol caravan to Qld anti Adani mob know in no uncertain terms.
You don't need to be a mining CEO to know ,if coal cuts out quickly there ain't no jobs. And the Banks have been cutting back on staff in large numbers, they are not in too much of a position to lobby.
Everybody lobbies Govts in power even the AFL and now the NRL.

OK I checked the Liberal website FWIW, if they don't succeed they will be flicked out of power in 3 years, and sooky Lib supporters will then want to go to N.Z .like the sooky Labor ones are publicly stating now.

And as one who pays too bloody much for electricity, will be the first to hammer them if this doesn't happen.

https://www.liberal.org.au/our-plan-affordable-and-reliable-energy

The way it is supposedly being done is spelt out in 4 points. And it has been spelt out publicly old coal plants will be phased out, which is a good thing.
They comment about 1/3 of Australia's electricity will come from renewables by the early 2020s.

How about the first party to introduce:
Right to vote
Census acknowledgement
First indigenous person in parliament.

Old Allan Jones, mouth piece for the LNP. Dumbing down facts for the imbeciles who can't think for themselves, probably tipped the election in LNP favour.

He(Jones) made some silly comments, but the ones to blame are Bowen and Shorten. The former Bowen going like a bull in a china shop, without thinking through some of the consequences, and Shorten because he deflected too much and his condescending responses" get back to you" was not the way for any leader to respond, if he wants to lead the Nation.
"Dumbing down" ,all politicians at times work on who they believe is a gullible public.Hence the term pork barrelling.
Get Up should have steered clear of the polling booths, they are not a political party, but a leftist lobbying group.Abbott would still have lost anyway.

Trouble is the public can pick insincerity.
Albanese should have been leader, not the ":entitiled" Shorten.

So people who vote because of financial reasons ,family concerns, employment, or because they think if a lot of goodies are handed out ,someone's got to pay are imbeciles.
We therefore apply that to every Govt elected, because rusted on party people don't usually change, it's the silent tell the polllsters to get stuffed mob, who end up tipping elections.
And regardless of Penny Wong's comments about scare campaigns, all parties push the negative against their oppositions' proposals. That's politics Penny.

Sky and News Ltd were pushing the Lib barrow ,the ABC and the SMH ,Guardian and ch9 at times the Labor barrow.
The only imbeciles in my book, were the pollsters ,the media personalities and media and those who trusted social media, and Clive {Palmer who spent $80m for SFA, and Get Up who spent about $5m and got rid of one only ,Bob Brown who achieved zilch and got the miners offside and helped the LNP in Qld,, and the idiot candidates from all the parties who made plain stupid social media comments and got flicked before getting to the election.
How many people threatened to leave Australia when Rudd got in? People threatening to leave because an election didn't go their way, are imbecilic losers.
Every 3 years we get to love em or leave em.

Lol .. Yep you sure can measure how high the water has risen with a ruler and how much of your backyard has fallen into the sea with a tape measure but better wait till you get a quantum computer before you decide if your house is going to fall into the sea.. That makes sense ! LOL! We knew a lot about atoms and molecules and forces involved in them long before we could look at them with Electron microscopes or measure speeds, and energy with Hadron accelerator or whatever its called We used that (Pre acurately individually measured but Scientifically studied through Hypothesis ,Theory and experiments and analysis of Data gathered .)( information to predict their behavior and use it in many many modern applicatiopns . Did you not know that? We certainly cant acurately predict where or when next Hail storm will hit (two hit my farm this year) But if we wait for your Quantum computers to realise whats already staring us in the face it will be too late .. But I repeat if you dont beleive in Global warming , build a house on the beach thats been there for thousands of yrs . When your Quantum computer is here and tells us its all a hoax its value will Skyrocket..Its a certainty . Nothings free so when you cash in I'll take 10% for the advice
You need to calm the f**k down. The doomsday is strong in this one. & ftr, the forum know where I live. Also, its called the LHC. LArge Hadron Collider. It has fired only a few times since 2010 & under current computing power, it will take 100 years to anylse the data. They are feverishly awaiting QC to speed experimental process up. So 1 weather event, in controlled situation in 1 location takes 100 years to analyse. But hey, what would I know, Im not a farmer.

Lol The laughs just keep coming . Thanks for the info about the LHC . I know a few little irrelevant facts can go along way with denialists like you and Alan Jones . However in this case they actually support what I was saying better than i originally said it .The LHC (dont I feel smart saying that hahaha!.).. Probably impresses the likes of DS)could not have been even imagined ,designed or built without using Scientific theories and Knowledge gathered long before PCs were even available Much of what was proposed or known about the Physics envolved was originally conceived ,tested etc by Physicists using Slide rules , Still using those when the Saturn 5s were being designed. Had they blithered and Blathered like you ......"We cant even begin to analyse the data required till we get Quantum computers boo hoo" we'd still be technologically back in the forties. Much of whats known about electrons Atoms neutrons and the forces involved was discovered using same methods that now tell us Global warming is happening and is being accelerated by mankinds actions. But hey .. You DS and Alan jones know better Oh and DS's majority Proves It . CASE CLOSED! lol.

You live on the coast ? If so ,good for you ! You should know waterfront lands getting cheaper Whats the matter ? Cant sell cause of that pesky Leftwing conspiracy Climate change stuff ? LOL!! Buy up MORE youll make a fortune when it all gets disproved by you DS and Alan jones ! LOL. Oh and I think your mate DS is the one needing to calm down .Seemed a little upset last post to me for someone who was bragging about being such a Winner!

I may not be as smart as some but I tell you what, I haven't seen a proper low tide on the beach for well over 6 months, maybe more.. I live 2 minutes from the beach and have done for 22 years, I've never seen the sea so close for so long, especially with moderate weather and normal moon cycles. Maybe it's all the climate hysteria??

Low tides lately look like high tides but hey, I'm willing to take a chance and call it all bullshit based on innuendo and fluff. Anthropogenic or not, this shit is happening anyway so why not err on the side of caution and take some proper, intelligent steps to look after (possible) future generations of humans.

I say this in the nicest possible way. Stocks are up though..

@Quigs Hows your neck of the woods looking?

Cools I have taken shelter in my tora bora bunker suffering from a bad bout of shell shock.

But I do walk the beach most mornings as the sun is rising. As a matter of fact only this very morning I said to a mate who hits the beach at the same time and is a photographer..... "it is only a matter of time before those big four Norfolk Pines will be gone" We were admiring some old trees that were once a fair distance from the beach line.

We have witnessed over time huge losses of trees along "our" beachfront and it is getting oh so close to houses now. Time will tell.

At the moment up here I couldn't give two rats arses about peoples houses getting washed away or people not being able to afford the lecky bills, or losing their awards. Its come out today that the Fibs are putting back the tax cuts for the low and middle class for 12months - stiff shit I say.

A large percentage of them believed all the shit that Fat Clive was spewing out. (Clives got his new mine approved by the way .... bigger than Adani)

Selfish dumb quigs the lot of them.

I could go on and on giving examples but honestly I couldn't be far can bothered.

One must learn, one must become at peace with ones self .... here is a painting I did of myself at my favorite place on the planet. Sunrise at Zilzie.... (emu park) The quigs Quigs and his dogs. (one has departed to another world)

haha wow. Richo just asked him, "how does labor reconnect with the people of faith in Australia, who have obviously rejected labor en mass?"
His answer; "I was the one, who championed for marriage equality".

With the news albo looks likely to take over I think you can lock in scomo for another term. Beautiful.

As long as ScMo delivers on his promises the Socialists could have Bat Man as their leader and they still won’t win the next election.

6 years in opposition and at least 6 more years in opposition to come.

Hopefully all the Socialists and Communists have all moved to NZ by then.

It wont help much unless Abbot ,Barnaby,Alan(good Oil)Jones and the rest of the Climate change denialists follow as well. They will probably be happier in a few yrs time living somewhere ,where they are not so well known. Sco Mo too unless he has seen the light (Hallelujah!) by then! I voted for liberals by the way Just didnt follow their preferences as my little protest ..put Greens number two , Clive last.
As far as labours Climate change policies ... Doesnt really matter ,Well meaning or not, they cant manage an economy well enough to successfully implement any Real changes anyway. No one there with half a brain since Keating.
