That was awesome last night watching C rogers clock up 150 and smith gets his 100.they way warner got himself out almost cost a new TV.

Great start to the test i was abit worried we were going to lose a wicket before the end of play with the poms getting the new ball but the boys kicked ass and finished the day unbeaten ill be flicking across on the ad break when parra score to see how there going tonight.

Thats what u get england if u want to produce lifeless wickets. The game gets decided by whoever wins the toss unfortunately. And Australia havent lost under Darren Lehmann when they have batted first.

Plus how good is smithy going 6 100s in his last 8 tests

Got taken to task because I thought Clark was over rated, another gievaway innings

He talks the talk that the selectors like, about time he backed it up, and yes I do think he is a knobhead

Clarke isn't overrated just past it. He's 34 and his back has pretty much sealed his fate.

Clarke reached his peak a couple years ago when he got 4 200 scores and over in the 12 month period. His back is definitely gone is only game by game propostion know and wouldnt suprise me if he pulled thr pin after the ashes if we win the series.

Not lifeless if your name is Mitchell Johnson, qld born legend.

agree

I actually thought we'd lose a few wickets in the first session, was nipping around

They did drop Smith early, and Root should have got Warner early as well

Anderson and Wood were dreadfull

We were right! Ball was swinging.

Rogers and Smith played really well. Hopefully none of the Poms apply themselves the same way

Very timely that he got out for you cheaply, then you can act like everything you said was spot on.

Didn't realise a few ordinary innings is more important than an entire career.

It's not a problem you don't like him but to say he is overrated is just absurd and completely arrogant based on your feelings towards him as a person.

Slater, Cronk and Smith are all MASSIVE tools but they are also great players and there is no denying that, no matter what happens in the next few years as their form declines with age.

That should get Smudger back to no 1 ranking.

You'd hope so.

I nearly fell off my chair yesterday morning when I read the headline that Smith silenced some critics, WTF? Did these "critics" not see his summer? Was one of the "critics" Delboy?

did they ever say what his "family issues" were? .... is there something really weird going on?

I had assumed it was somehow realted to his daughter who had been sick (might still be)

Slats said a couple of times this week that his family is over there with him and his daughter was in hospital. Doesn't mean that it isn't a cover up though.
