Seriously - this thread should include Ben Roethlisberger:

* Youngest QB to win a Super Bowl
* Second QB ever to have 3 perfect passing games during the season (behind Peyton Manning)
* In 2007 he had the record for the most games with a passing completion rate of 80% or higher with 4

People go on and on about Brady and Manning but this guy has already won 2 Bowls and will win more.

Brady won 3 superbowls with average receivers.

Yes that true it was probably a hyped article but Brady will also go down in the hall of fame not long into retirement.

Deion Branch [M.V.P of Super Bowl XXXIX] and Troy Brown were never 'average' recievers in my opinion.

With the Pats, they weren't great, but neither one was average.

I agree about Pig Eyes. Manning and Brady are both great QBs and are sure Hall of Famers. Barring injury, Manning will probably break most of the QB records worth having.

However, when their O-lines can't block in the passing game, they come back to the pack very quickly. Pig Eyes can still do some damage with less than stellar blocking up front. Case in point, the last SB.

Brady plays in a much tougher division, never really had a dominate defense ( like the Steelers, Ravens ).

I think Manning is a wonderful QB, his play is so crisp, his attention to detail is amazing, but has a bad habit of choking.

I'll say it here, the Colts wont make the Superbowl, NE however i reckon will make it if Moss gets his sh*t together, or even without him i think they can still win it.

On another note putting a wager on NE tomorrow to win the SB

Who?

they were never elite - they were solid at best - like Lee Evans if not a little less ( 'Lee has never had a decent QB apart from 1 year with Bledsoe.

Brady never had a dominant defence? Are you being serious or am I just reading this wrong?

Manning has a habit of choking? Someone please cue the 4th quarter comeback stats. He has 7 this season alone.

What is his record in the playoffs? Just wins and losses will do.

Bit lucky they played the Bears in the SB too or he may still be without a SB.

Once again though, please don't think I'm saying he's sh*t or anything, just making arguments as to why Brady could be considered better.

Manning has made his O-Line look good year after year after year. The Colts never use high drafts picks on O-Lineman unlike the Pats. The only one is Tony Ugoh who barely plays these days.

Sure Ben R.... is good and can avoid a sack as good as anyone but to put him in the same category as Brady and Manning is ridiculous. There are reasons he doesn't get spoken about when the topic of best Qb comes up on any of the networks.

Dominant defence + solid run game = Colts Superbowl 2006

Dominant defence + solid run game = 3 Pats Superbowls

As great as Manning and Brady is they both had a dominant defence and solid run game when they won Superbowls.

No QB has ever carried their team to a Superbowl victory all by himself, no Brady, not Manning, not Marino, no one.

It's no co-incidence that the Colts won the Superbowl when the run game and defence showed up in the playoffs.

offcourse, he made his 0-line bloke etc right right...

Brady on the otherhand? nah his o-line made him look great right?

superbowls = Brady

Better = Brady

pretty simple actually

didn't Trent Edwards lead the NFL in 4th Quarter comebacks last year? that stat is irrelevant as his 4th quarter comeback in your opinion exclude playoff games.

and yes you read it right - Seau did look good at 42 in charge of the NE defense however....

i disagree, i never rated the Pats D that highly in the superbowl years - they just seemed to put it together when needed - but i'd hardly compare there d to the Steerlers or Ravens.
