Can't argue with you much. I'm not dismissing him, this playoffs will tell us a lot about the elite QB's. In my opinion, can't ask for much more than Manning, Brady, Big Ben and Rivers all fighting for a spot in the Superbowl.

I am just happy the Colts get week one off.

Oh absolutely. Any time you can have such great QB's as Rivers, Brees, Manning, Brady and Roethlisberger fighting for a Super Bowl spot it's a guaranteed great ride.

well the general opinion is that Brady is better, pretty hard not to argue with that as it's pretty much commonsense...

If NFL Hall of Famers don't count then lets go by this thread.

By my count it is:

Manning - 10 votes
Brady - 4 votes
Undecided - 3 votes

but i thought Manning made his o-line look good? and so what if he's throwing bombs, takes a tonne of skill to throw one - particular to a bloke like Moss who's always double teamed - if anything it makes him an even greater QB.

What i found funny this year was that when the pats plaved the colts, Brady absolutely owned Manning, it was embarrasing, and quite clear that Brady had one up on him, if it wasnt for some bad play calling, the pats win comfortably, but in the record it will say Manning won the duel, but whoever saw the game would know that Brady won by first round KO

I am trying to work out if you are joking or not with the Moss comment. Moss is arguably the most physically gifted wide receiver ever born. The guy can be triple teamed and still go up and bring down the ball. Theres probably guys on this message board who could throw bombs to Moss when he is double teamed and Moss would still grab it and score.

Daunte Culpepper was a decent QB once upon a time but Moss made him famous.

Anyway my point was that the Pats were blatantly going after Manning's TD record. They left Brady in the game when up by 4-5 TD's quite a few times and they threw it from the 1 yard line every time. These things did not happen when Manning threw 49 TD's. Peyton sat out numerous 4th quarters and only played one series in the final game of the season. Brady broke the record in the final game.

As for the AFC Championship, I have it right here on DVD.

So you say Brady owned Manning, it was embarrassing ...

So it was Brady who rumbled 30 something yards to set up the first score by Logan Mankins on a fumble recovery? No Corey Dillon.

It was Brady who intercepted Manning for a pick 6? No that was Samuel.

Hardly what I would call "absolutely owned". The 21-3 lead the Pats built was because the entire Pats team dominated the Colts.

Games go for 60 minutes, and Manning was the better QB that day. Brady was the better QB in previous meetings.

The next chapter in the rivalry will be even more exciting than previous chapters although Rivers and LT may have something to say about that.

Brady, obviously.

 is there any doubt? lol it's like comparing Richard Simmons to Body by Jake?

I like stirring 18-87:lol: but again 18-87, you use the ''because the entire Pats team dominated the Colts' but when Manning seems to do something it's all him no one else?

do you have the stats for that game by any chance? wasn't manning something like 17-35 with 2 interceptions?

I do agree with you on Moss however, but, regardless of the double/triple teams on him, pinpoint passes are needed more so then ever.

just out of curiosity, Manning was drafted in 1998? and Brady in 2000 is that correct?

Manning has had high quality players around him (on offence) for the most part, just like Brady.

Manning's line in that game: 27/47 349 yards, 1 TD 1 INT 1 Rushing TD.

Yep thats right. I wonder how long each will play for. I say they both at least have 6 years left.

Wish Lord Favre would just hurry up and retire. Am surprised there isn't a thread on here about his latest issues.

haha, they couldn't have made it more obvious.

the colts had owned the cheats in 06. the cheats gave up the biggest 4th qtr lead in playoff history against the colts that year. 18 points was it?

everyone was talking about manning in the offseason. billicheat couldn't handle it so he made it his mission to get brady the td record in 07.

unfortunately when it came to winning a superbowl without knowing exactly what the other team was doing the cheat was out of his depth.

before spygate - brady wins 3 rings
after spygate - brady wins f**k all and will continue to win f**k all.

they went 17-0 after spygate, yes lost the Superbowl, but still more then what Peyton has done?

and i would like to see some actual stats on Brady being kept on to get Peytons record - im almost certain thats false as i can remember him being replaced against the Bills in 2007 when a healthy lead was built?

Its from 2004. I wouldn't have argued this much back then. Colts have gone 5-1 against the Pats since then.

but hang on? i thought it was a team effort? didn't you imply that to when Brady was bitch slapping the Colts earlier this year? but then conveniently, when the Colts win it's all Manning?

Wish we still had Bill Polian:(

regardless of spygate, 17-0 means jack sh*t if you lose the superbowl.

Manning is a better qb than Brady and most intelligent NFL fans would be able to see that.

It was a pretty big story at the time. The Pats were criticized by everyone for running up the score numerous times. It was viewed as BB giving the middle finger to everyone after spygate.

17-0 doesn't mean jacksh*t, it's still an achievement that will be remembered for years to come.

I bet if Peyton goes 17-0 and looses the Superbowl, people would say 'but'' 'but'

And again

How many Superbowls has Brady won

How many Superbowls has Manning won

after all, according to you, not winning the superbowl means jack sh*t:lol:

Ron Jeremy wins:)

well spygate was overrated in the first place, really, the win against St Louis - no one could ever have known, on the day, the situation etc what a team was going to call - it's as simple as that, no one would've known.

Its like the Bills fans blaming the local news the night before the superbowl in 93 showing Kely throwing a screen pass in practice to one of his players - the bills fans believe that this what caused them to loose, not the 7 turnoevers due to inept handling and awful throws and sacks.

I think most people (Patriot lovers aside) believe that the truth will never come out about Spygate. Goodell destroyed the tapes anyway. If it was no big deal then why not release all of them? If the taping even effected the outcome of one game (no matter which game) then you would have to strip the Pats of that win and that would have created a sh*t storm that would have seriously damaged the NFL.
