I'm fairly confident in a win here, which is normally when they turn in an abysmal performance. But this team is different, and having the rep players back can only mean a pretty big win here.

im concerned with this game - Brisbane played really well last game against us.... they will have the belief to go with us again - dont be surprise if Brisbane pull off an upset
There is some concern (especially since they get the ridiculous luck of playing us at home again when we were supposed to be at home) but I also realise that two of the key players in that strong performance against of us were Lodge and Pangai and they aren't there now. We have the team to beat them easily but that last match they started really well and were in the fight and stayed in it for pretty much the full 80. If we start well and get a couple of tries ahead they won't worry us.

Back to almost the top 17. No one backing up from Origin...Should find some form before the Storm next week

Avoided scans, just sore. Sounds like nothing more than the niggles most players carry towards the backend of the year.

Storm is 4 weeks counting from Origin on Sunday. Origin>Bye(1)>Warriors(2)>Broncos(3)>Storm(4). Right from the earliest estimate of when he'll back Cleary said he was aiming for the Storm game
Jarome was 2-4 weeks IIRC. Different injury so his wasn't the same amount of weeks.
Origin 2 was June 27. Storm game is July 31. That's 34 days, one day shy of 5 weeks. I'm all for not bringing Nathan back in this game, as we don't need to win it, and he'll get the most rigorous fitness test imaginable from the Storm.

Not really making concerned about Melbourne running trafic at him. Shoulder dislocations typically occur when you hit the ground in the wrong way and it pops out. That's how he did this in Origin when someone tackled him without the ball and he aggravated it trying to make a tackle later in the game.

Grounds being choppy because of the amount of games being played and his shoulder digging into the turf what I'm concerned about. That'll be a concern regardless of the number of weeks he misses until he gets surgery and fixes it. There's only so much you can do through rehab until you get surgery on something like this.

This Tyrone May obsession is giving me the sads

Yeah, he threw a couple of nice passes last week, but his organisation is for shit. We needed a better plan B than this one in case Nathan cant play.

Who goes Centre if Burton plays 5/8th?

Naden was horrible
Momo is solid like May is.

May allows the other 12 to play their natural role which is something we need to do more of. Having our top 17 on the field is something we have lacked this season.

Ivan is very average but I doubt if Cleary was out in a big game May would start

Halves are much more important than the centres. Yeah, Burton has been killing it at centre, but we aren’t beating the Melbourne storm with May at 7.

Gotta risk it to get the biscuit.

Burton would be 7 if it was a must win.

That doesn't get the combinations going that have lacked this year.

long term that is more important

It’s not about this game, it’s about if Cleary gets further injured. Giving Burton & Luai time together now makes sense so they can work together better later on if needed.

Cleary is back next week though. Need to get some combinations going so better this week to get some form

The whole backline needs to build combinations. Very stop start for a lot of guys. Even Crichton has played every game but hasn't played 3 games in the 1 position

Perfect post. We only have 1 goal in 2021 and that's beating Melbourne in the GF

Do we do that with the backline being constantly changed?

What if Cleary and Luai come back and don't miss more games. You have wasted time that could of been used with the rest of the side
