Panthers v Broncos

He’s outshining Naden now I guess. Charlie’s played every game this season Brent has played once. Brent has a new club in 2022 hope he does well and hopefully our own Charlie delivers on the faith that the club has put in him.
Naden's down fall was his bender just before the grand final, in my opinion. Also, Staines, with another pre season under his belt will improve, again that is my opinion.

Where’s the balanced argument thou Smug.

Im not a huge stats orientated fan but he ran for terrific metres, his carries far exceeded certain others in the backline. Two of Charlie’s three carries were catch and score, but he did nothing else. Brent has become the fall guy since Jack moved on. You and others see it differently to me, I think he offers something and you and others don’t.
He's SKD but less extreme. He might do something bad but you're confident he'll make up for it like calling a chasing a grubber 40 metres to force a drop out or something. He just has an instinct for the game.

I appreciate it is the perceived wisdom that Burton is better than May in the halves, but is that right? Burton has a better running game and kicking game, but he creates little for those outside of him. I think last week May looked good and with Luai back I was very happy for Burton to go back to centre. I would like to see us getting him involved more in the kicking though.

MAY had his best game in a very long time. He outplayed Burton last week.

Massive game for Luai, he was virtually non existent against Parra. He was really disappointing and is yet to show sweet FA without Nathan running the side

I think he should be the 7. Even with Burton/Luai as the halves he should be the 7.

If he sits on the left edge all night against the Broncos then you'll have to call Ivan I have his number.

Perfectly happy for Luai to phone it in and take it easy on his knee. We don't need him at his best just yet.

Would love a big win. But really would settle for an ugly one point win if we get through this game without injury. Been a bit unlucky lately with guys getting hurt

Played a different role. Kicked for 400m and depending when he did his knee that would of affected him. All about getting the cobwebs out before the Purple Pricks next week

Building combinations and no injury is the main thing. We will do enough to win regardless

He barely got involved was poor performance. I thought he'd be pumped to be the main man

Now that TPJ is coming what do we see as the make up of our bench .Do we need a utility on the bench considering with have Yeo and capewell already in the side

Been thinking about this too..

Its a risk running without a utility on the bench. But i dont think may or kenny really over anything when they come on.

I was basically the first on this forum to call may out at the start of this year and say he wasnt offering much. Thats proved right. Hes good cover for injury but thats about it.

Kenny is a solid 80min 60 tackle fill in hooker. I like him too but doesnt offer anything if apis off.

I kinda think having a specialist 14 is important but a bench of;

14. Martin
15. Spencer
16. Tpj
17. Sorensen

Really bloody excites me. That bench could break open a game.

Not sure which way we should go. Playing may or kenny at 14 is definitley the safe option

I think you need someone who can provide some utility on the bench these days with the way concussion is handled. That being said with Capewell being able to cover the centres in a pinch and Burton playing in the centres we can probably get by without one. If an outside back or a half goes down capewell into the centres and burton/Critta to to cover but its a big reshuffle.
