Oh man, time for a walk and a stretch.
Very disappointing result in the 20's. Ironically we played with some decent structure early in the game to build pressure but then struggled to capitalise on the possession/territory advantage, despite looking to have an advantage with our right edge combination of Folau and Toutai.
The Panthers NYC team is simply too good for us to let them get away with zero points from that position and they made us pay as they quickly racked up an imposing first half score.
Despite giving away the first try of the second half we did rally to some degree in the second period but that coincided with Penrith taking their foot off our throat momentarily.
I think we were best served by Pauli Pauli and Tui Kamikamica up the middle while Clay was good with restricted minutes.
Folau got little ball but was a threat on the right edge, which leaves me scratching my head as to why we didn't go to him more often.
Ualesi was down on his recent form but was still one of our most dangerous forwards when the game was still alive in the first half.
Getting back to the team effort though, too many mistakes against a top-notch opposition team meant that we were always going to be playing from behind after that initial 10m period of territorial dominance.
