Sivo isn’t a thug, he simply picked up the wrong signals from the bar lady. So far as we know, he went to kiss her, be kind and affectionate, no blow to the head or any other violence. It was behaviourally awkward....if it’s actually true. It could be a Fijian Brett Stewart situation.
We went through Grub at length a few weeks back. Grub has pleaded not guilty and all allegations against him remain wholly unproven and entirely untested. His good character and the high regard people have for him remains in situ and untouched.
To be denied bail at first instance by a legal system for what seems to be an innocent misreading of affection, with no force or violence of any kind is completely uncivilised, tin pot, third-world stuff and we should be putting as much pressure as possible on this imprisoned island dictatorship to respect and have regard for basic human rights.
Sivo would make for one f**king great tiger.

When they start locking up nrl players for rubbish, the Australian people and government have to get involved.
He’s a great player and in all accounts, a decent bloke.
Political asylum when he gets back at least, if they imprison him, we got ta act. This is our backyard.
