I reckon we should just ditch the idea of food outlets inside new stadiums. Just invite food trucks to set up outside the venue, better quality, and similar price. Also a wider variety of food, there's heaps of food trucks already running in Western Sydney, wouldn't be too hard to give each of them a spot at the new stadium.

But then no one can make $10 profit on a fish burger

Not a bad idea tbh. Even if it is just an alternative rather than a direct replacement.

There is one in Brisbane that does South American food. Even just a sniff as I walk past results in an instant erection in the pants.

Sounds like someone misread cilantro and used Cialis instead.

Sounds great, but the stadium has to make money somehow, and a big percentage of their profits come from the sale of food and drink.
Have the trucks outside as an extra option though. I'd probably prefer them.
Unless they're selling f**king fish burgers.

Yeah, maybe I was getting ahead of myself with completely removing them but realistically if you put food trucks outside of the stadium who is going to buy food from inside the stadium other than those who turn up just before kick-off and want to watch the game whilst they eat?

I guess they wouldn't like my idea of stopping people from taking alcohol from the bar to where they sit.

Gladys was on ABC 702. The stadia brouhaha was raised. ABC merkin said that potholes etc should be fixed before stadia. Nothing wrong with the stuff we got etc.

Gladys said FFS the NSW Gov will be spending $100s of billions in additional funding over the next 4 years not including the normal repairs and maintenance to infrastructure.

The $2b is a drop in the ocean for structures that will stand for another 20 or 30 years and return over $1b per year.

But surely she is just putting all this misconceived outrage into perspective?
There was initially outrage amongst constituents in Adelaide and Perth about their stadium rebuilds.
Look how popular they are now! (Except for the shitty over priced food at Perth - lol).

I really don't get the hate for this govt stadium policy. They are building and rebuilding so much other infrastructure in this state atm it's not funny. The first govt that has done it for decades.
We need to keep up and even advance ahead of our time because so many other previous governments have failed us dismally.
And I'm sick of the tabloid media picking on shit like "there's no air-con in new class rooms at a new school built at Breakfast Point" which was on the news tonight. f**k, toughen up kids. Who ever had air-con when we were kids? Then Luke Foley comes on and says "I'll bet there is air-conditioning in the private boxes at the new stadiums" f**k off Luke. Seriously.

She also said that the gov faced similar outrage about the demo of the entertainment centre and convention centre. Now that the new ICC is finished they getting nothing but praise plus snaring conventions from other states.

Lukr Foley lol.

Luke Foley is a joke. Then again, so are most politicians these days. The quality of leadership these days is embarrassing.
That's why, finally, I'm glad we actually have a state govt who are delivering on their promises and beyond. We are finally getting somewhere. It's taken decades to get anything meaningful done infrastructure wise and it's finally happening. That also includes schools and hospitals. And jails as I saw on the ABC news tonight.

Luke Foley will only take us back to the dark ages.
He can go and get f**ked.

Ha. Opposition Leader is the easiest job in politics. Just show outrage at everything the government does. Seriously - that is all it involves.
