Good for you Pete. Parra is better off without half hearted fans.
lol..
ouch.

It'd be a boring old place if we were all the same, dressed the same, had the same views on everything.
Sure, I don't mind lobbing a hand grenade into a discussion. Maybe to get the blood flowing and to put a bit of interest into things. Wouldn't it be boring if no-one had a difference of opinion????:?
The thing is...if it keeps going the way it is..it could end up with less each year...Especially if the Pied Piper board keeps leading them down the path it is heading..
lol no one cares how many fans we lose because the ones were losing aren't really 'fans' now are they.
As for the Board comment- Honestly i think that there's a lot of people that don't really care. The only ones that care are the ones that are involved with the club on a regular basis and are huge club supporters. ( like quite a few people on this forum) I know a lot of parra fans that couldn't even name our CEO let alone bother to care about the goings on with the Board. Before i joined this site i knew nothing about the clubs politics, until i was forced to read about it on a daily basis through threads here. A lot of people only really care about the footy and could not give a flying toss that the Board hurt the coaches feelings by firing him one year too early. So no, i dont think anyone, other than fairweather fans like yourself, are going to be leaving the club based on some media driven mass hysteria.
Fairweather... Do you know what it means Sarah?
Winning at all costs is not as important as winning with integrity...But you wouldn't know about that yet...you are still growing up...and good luck to you..I was as passionate about Parramatta as you are once..BUT 'baby that was years ago' as the song goes.
What is more important to you? Winning or winning with your principles in tact?
I have no love for Tim Smith as a footballer. I thought you would have known that. BUT I have discussed him with prominent people involved with the (Raiders) Club in general conversation. Don't know about the fans, but other people involved down there are aware of MY opinion of him, AS A PLAYER..
When you talk football, you talk football and of course opinions come up in discussions. Can't say that I know many Raiders fans, apart from the mates I have played footy with who now live in the ACT or thereabouts, but I do know a lot of the people involved with the running of the Club.
I would say that I have more friends interested in Parramatta than the Raiders...but what has that got to do with anything..To each his own.
It's like when the passion goes out of a marriage, no good hanging on for the sake of the kids if everyone is going to be unhappy. Make arrangements so everyone can be HAPPY.
Parramatta was once the occupier of all my football affection. Now it is well behind my local Club involvement. Once I was shattered if the Eels lost a game, now I couldn't give a flying xxxx. I enjoy following the Hay Magpies..and being involved with it.
Being involved in organising the Pie in the Sky is one of my biggest thrills.
The Parramatta flame has been diminished. But that doesn't stop my enjoyment of talking football, whether it be Eels, Hay, Raiders or whatever..and if it does upset people, just hit the ignore button.
AND I don't mind being the object of ridicule. The only person I have to satisfy is myself..

This is painful - for the sake of the real football fans out there (Parramatta or otherwise), can you take your post-midlife crisis therapy session to a pub or a clinic and stop indulging us with this drivel? :sarcasm:
I am assuming you are too narcisistic or sad to do so.
How would you know? Just because you think that way doesn't make it so. Personally I feel Argent would be very pleased to see the demise of Fitzy. It is sad to see how shallow and unprincipled the Parramatta Club has become..
Big Jack Argent would be spinning in his grave...not to mention Jack Gibson...
So there is no chance this club can turn things around Pete? pull up stumps and move on like yourself? :? Pete I am 43 and followed them since I was 8, yes football has changed big time and not neccessarily for the good, BUT i will never turn my back on them like yourself because u dont like the board of where the club is heading, u have taken this personally and not been very objective because u and Fitzgerald are friends!I didn't even mention Fitzy...If you are happy to see the demise of the once great Club...that's your decision. Stick with it..don't let me interfere with your scruples...

I won't. TBH, I will think of people like you when we do win a Grand Final - albeit very briefly in following days, and only for a micro second.
pete, isn't it time for your nana nap?
I might even be there too if I feel nostalgic enough...Premiership are terrific ..on the day they are won, for the euphoria..the day after..who cares, it is the new season...
When I dumped a girl once, the last thing I did was follow her around and tell her what a bad girlfriend she was, I moved on.
