Gangstas? They're full on churchies. They sing boy band love songs together.

I'm not upset, just observant. Enjoy it while it lasts Mr. cats. In 2-3 years this team will be dismantled by the salary cap, possibly without a premiership to their name. It's already begun with Burton off to the Dogs. That scenario will be interesting to watch next year. It will probably end up like Bryce Cartwright at the Titans.
Who's bragging? I'm explaining your butthurt.
In 2-3 years we will still be producing talented NRL players at a ridiculous rate. We have a few teenagers in our undefeated reserve grade side that will stars in 2-3 years, the next Burton and whoever else may leave has probably already been identified by our development coaches from our junior grades, I can name a few that look as good as our current stars at the same age, some who look even better.
I'm pretty disappointed in my fellow Panther fans taking this bait
So..
What is the “real” reason people have started hating Penrith in recent times..?
Envy of their success?
Gus Gould?
Ivan Cleary abandoning his bus?
Sex Tapes?
Others??
To me it would seem a combination of the top 3. They don’t seemingly have any folk who carry on like knobs on the field.... perhaps apart from the Canberra game..
That's cool that they have potential, but it remains to be seen if they can put any new trophies in your cabinet. Look what happened to the all-conquering Warriors juniors of 10 years ago.
You've also lost Gus who's the arguably the main reason for the return of your junior strength. Will it last? Penrith have always had the biggest junior base, yet it's only netted 2 trophies in your history.
Touchè, but hooper is a flogIts funny about the Penrith rise and the distain of the media. Sometimes the public defines its limits by expressing outrage. The running of a story that seems too unsettling, or the airing of an image that seems too graphic, can set off a storm of protest -- twittershiere, bloggers and radio talk-show hosts, "woke" warriors and enraged citizens -- all denouncing the messenger as an unbeliever, even treasonous. outside the religious like fervour that supporting a team can impose - In this swirl of menace and hate, even the most determined supporter can feel cowed.
People like Gus Gould or Matty Johns or Hooper or the NRL360 team or even Waleed Aly see themselves as a gatekeeper of all social discourse on issues but upset that that people don't need gatekeepers any more. As with many in corp media, he wants to be the conduit of discussion, people don't need to stop at gatekeepers these days and can discuss without the need to be herded into a view.
We respond in bad faith because we presume bad faith from everyone else we deem not to be on our side, and democratic debate simply disintegrates. The result is a public discussion that risks becoming overrun with nonsense.
In his reflections on people, teams, like minded groups, politics and language, George Orwell operated on the assumption that people want to know the truth. Often, though, they don't. In the case of Rugby League ,the many instruments George Orwell felt would be needed to keep people passive and uninformed -- the nonstop propaganda messages, the memory holes, the rewriting of history, Room 101 -- have proved unnecessary. The public has become its own collective Ministry of Truth -- a reality that, in many ways, is even more chilling than the one Orwell envisioned.
But then at Penrith, Change came.
We saw an openness and transparency and a relationship between the Board and the players and the fans were they were all as one. Working together and in harmony and frankly it shows on the field.
