Where does he say Abdo invented it?

He says it was Abdo's idea to bring it in here. Greenberg's comments on it.

“No other sport in this country has tried this, not on this scale,” Greenberg said. “We wanted to bring in something new and innovative.

Had PVL simply stated the above it doesn't get the same reaction, Which is what Trolling is. He uses language to get traction

"They are copying Andrew Abdo's idea and that's actually flattering"

What part of that gives you the idea he doesn't think it was Abdo's idea and actually is just saying Abdo brought it here?

So the NRL gets $2.1m and the AFL is getting $10m. Looking forward to the master salesman’s explanation.

It will be interesting if the hosting price does go up when it is up for renewal.

While some coaches are bemused about taking home matches to Brisbane, it’s understood each club will receive $270,000 while the NRL takes earnings from the gate.

Given some clubs are lucky to make a $60,000 profit from of a home game, particularly when they are playing an out-of-town team, this round appeals to their bottom line.

NRL has smaller base to work from. Profit is all that matters in these cases

Have you seen the price of Flights from Perth to Sydney?
Also would $270k be enough to 'buy' home games from the larger clubs?

So cost alone will be more for the AFL version on the flip side, More benefit for those cities hosting it so not sure it is an apples v apples comparison

It is not Apples v apples. The AFL will have free entry for club members. The cash is coming from the NSW/SA governments rather than from the fans. Each club will get half a million net, the AFL gets $1m to cover costs.

People down here (most would not be aware of NRL Magic Round) think the whole concept is ridiculous. It has not been well received going by talkback radio and social media. Not sure many would travel. It has disaster written all over it, especially if in Sydney.

The NRL wants to replicate the same festival-like atmosphere created at the hugely popular Hong Kong Sevens or the UK Super League’s Magic Round, which has been in place since 2007.

The Magic Round concept was started in the English equivalent of the NRL, the Super League.

I can't remember the NRL ever claiming it as their own, Nor the press around it claiming it as their own

Even from NRL.com at the time

The concept is similar to England's Super League competition's Magic Weekend which has been an annual part of its schedule for a decade, with matches generally played over two days at cities like Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester and Newcastle.

NRL charge for tickets, You said AFL won't charge members so the net result likely is the same. Just done under a different model

So if the NRL is not claiming that it is their concept, how can they say the AFL is copying them? Surely they are copying SL.

I'm not seeing any quotes from him in any of those, so seems you failed to answer my question.

Not everyone going will be a member. AFL will still get around double the NRL If including the gate.

We will revisit this when the prices and details come out but there are far more members than there is seats. So to discuss it need to see how many tickets are actually available, Of course the price.

There a far too many members than seats that are available, So more detail can discuss it

You didn't answer my Question.

He got on the Commission in 2018, The 1st magic round was 2019.. you are telling me in all those meetings, No one discussed stealing the idea from the UK?

Your question is irrelevant. You claim he never said it was Abdo's idea and posted a bunch of articles from 2018 and 2019 as proof.

The statement is there for all to see. He stated it was Abdo's idea. No amount of articles from 2018 is going to change that.

Your desperate need to defend him is just weird.
