The price of everything in this country.

Been back for ~3 weeks and I can't believe how expensive it's gotten.
It's like everything is 50% more expensive than when we left 3 years ago.
And my wife wants to move back.

Pharque that.
I can't wait to head back to Thailand.
I'm in England at the moment and it's the same, last time I was here it seemed pretty good price wise for food and drinks etc but now it's absolutely ridiculous the price of everything. Even public transport costs are an absolute rort.

I can only imagine.
Last time I was in London - 2003 - it cost 20 quid a day just to breathe.

Life can be bright in America.
If you can fight in America.
Life is all right in America.
If you're all-white in America.

I agree… just pointing out that there’s a logic to it. In fact these days it’s just about the only logical thing in America.
The original Gregorian calendar was based on the date range 1/1/0100 to 12/31/9999 or MM/DD/YYYY.

Britain followed this till the mid 18th century (1752). USA discovered in 1492 and took it's date from Britain.

Australia discovered in 1770 and also followed Britains format but it had changed 18 years prior.

So both America and Australia are just copied cats and both are probably correct.

A petty explanation for a petty, pet hate :)

No idea. Had one go at it months ago and hate it. IN that time I have run about 20 recruitments and the new "thing" is for applicants to use some sort of AI to "write" their selection criteria and it shits me no end. They don't get interviewed.

I just googled the calendar stuff

So, can we please record AI as a petty thing I hate :)
