funny how Gould's taking heat from the posters on this... it's Bennett who's been less than perfect in this case

Why? He never signed on the dotted line so has the right to change his mind at any stage. He asked that he news be kept under raps as to not affect the Broncos, it was leaked and he got cold feet. It took the Roosters a matter of days to find another coach who has won 2 premierships and coached Australia to several series victories, they werent exactly hard done by.

Don't know about that, if anything this could be bad for us mentally. Do you think the players were made aware of Bennett agreeing to coach the Roosters? Do you think Cullen knew about it? Bennnett may have some explaining to do.

I bet they were saying the same thing about Piggins - no one is indespensible - along comes someone else to take over from Politis considering there is plenty of supporters with Millions. I bet the only reason that Bennett didn't come is because it was agreed that if the story hit the newpapers prior to the isgning the deal was off..Guess what - the deal is off.

I must admit Anderson is only signed on for two years - is it so Freddy can be taught the ropes? However lets face it Anderson has an impressive record - bit better than Taylors (who will no doubt be sacked half way through next season)

I think with all the crap going on around the Roosters I still will bet they will finish higher thans SOUFs next year. Then again 14 other teams will again - because SOUFS really should be called the Save Our Useless Football Side..

As I said, Bennett used the entire KY tube. Add on missing out on Roy and JT and the stench coming out of the joint is palpable.

Who is running the book on how long it takes Gould to start undermining Anderson? I say it takes less time than it took him to stab Stuart in the back.

A verbal agreement is worth the paper it's written, and the astute business man knows this. I would never believe a wily old NSW hating, undead bastard like Bennett until he had signed in blood if I were Politis or Gould.

Bennett single handedly screwed a rival team, an old enemy and a new one in one fell swoop. Geez, too many people fall for Wayne's grumpy old bumpkin facade and forget what a cunning old fox he is. I never once believed he would betray Brisbane for the Sydney Roosters.

does that mean you are going to finish lower than the Roosters where ever they finish then yes. I never said they couldn't make the eight - I just was pointing out that no SOUFS fan can take the Mickey out of us. Just go and look at your terrible record with sacking coaches, buying crap players, finishing last, more infighting than Cassius Clay ever had to do (and it istill going on). etc etc etc. Don't tell me unity rules at SOUFS because it doesn't. so see ya later alligator - go and help sweep the club it needs a good brooming

I’m not a Gould fan, but I think this article has gone a long way to discredit people like Hadley, Rothfield and Wilson, who said Gould was about to take over the coaching from Ricky Stuart at the Roosters. It is really at odds with Bruno Cullen’s assertions on the matter. I wonder if Wayne Bennett will come clean today and say that he was interested in coaching the Roosters.
