True, what odds did you get, got Warner at $7.50 for the first hundred, so I'm up $750...thanks Bunnies Tard!
I had the last of my betting account on him which was $35 @ 8's  So i can now have a weekend bet on the GG's thanks to BunniesTard \\\\:D/

I breathed life into Cowan and Warner.

Goes to show how far gone Ponting is that even I'm being proven right about him and his failures this summer.

In expectation of Watson coming back, he's only average 25 as a batsman in his last 8 tests. And he's not a good enough bowler to keep a spot in the team with that batting average. if he can't make the most of his chances when he gets back in, his place will be in jeopardy.

But for now Ponting must go to make way for Hughes.

For Perth or Melbourne though?

It should have happened 2 years ago so every test it is delayed only makes the problem worse.

No point procrastinating on what needs to be done. If I was selector Ponting would be dropped for Perth.

I would give Clarke Hughes and Khawaja to replace Quiney and Ponting. And they would both be given the same run older lower potential players have been given.

At stumps, Hughes is 127 n.o. I watched most of it and he looks so much more solid than he did 2 years ago. He batted all day, this was a very patient knock off 197 deliveries. He never looked like getting out. And to prove how solid he was all day, he scored 3 boundaries in the last 2 overs of the day.

He is Shields leading run scorer. His time has arrived. If Watson is not fit, Hughes must come in for Quiney. If Watson is fit, Hughes must come in for Ponting.

I'd be picking Khawaja ahead of Hughes at this stage but Hughes is scoring runs and I love it.
