Of course in an ideal world Twatto and Chimp Warner would be punted too. Unfortunately we don't have the talent to drop more than one incompetent player at a time.

Smith* has shown that he has some nuts for the game, that he's playing for his country, not his next IPLCircus/big wank contract. Kenny Rodgers is showing it too, unfortunately he's about 57 years old.

* Still working on a nickname for smith.

I agree with this. He is as good in the middle order as Twatto is up the top.

Watson should be at 6 in this test and Hughes opening. f**k Warner, his shitty attitude doesn't deserve to be there.

f**k off you freak

Hughes is a dud

Hughes showed exactly that when he skipped the BBL to train. And he showed that with the innings he grinded in the 3rd and 4th test in India and the 1st test in this series.

Selectors said they had shielded him from south Africa tests at home at start of our summer . So they were looking to ease him into the side TO START DELIVERING. Fact they dumped him tells you he has been most disappointing. At least with Sunshine you have his bowling

I'm also of the opinion that it's not the end for HAH..

I can see him breaking records..

Like being the first player to be given the arse from the Australian test team 6 times..

Now that would take some breaking..

3 times to go?, its a lock in I reckon, someone get tom waterhorse online

Maybe HAH should start trundling if he wants a test recall?

The people have spoken. CA works for all Australians. Most Australians can see Hughes is the best opener we have. But you have to be mates with the right people to get picked (Khawaja) or at least be a T20 superstar (Warner). That counts for more than 21 first class centuries as an opener by your 25th birthday. Which is more than any Australian under the age of 30. Also leading runscorer at an average of 62 on the tour counts for shit. But the fraud on a big contract gets picked on reputation despite offering nothing in years (Watson).

@Dugahole 34m I'm still convinced that our selection has cost us a more successful #Ashes series. Cowan, Lyon, bird and Hughes needed to play more.

@barnseyy 43m
Two innings in a row khawaja has played a lazy shot and paid the price. I would much rather Phil Hughes in this team #ashes

@mark_noy 46m
Khawaja can go being back Hughes #Ashes #ReturnTheUrn

@PanSam 47m
Bring back Phil Hughes! #ashes

@busman3386 47m
Seriously @darren_lehmann Phil Hughes. And at 3 #onetesttoolate #ashes

@Cric_ket 52m
Warner fails yet again but is continually picked each game. Hughes fails in two tests and is dropped. #ashes

I hope one day you get the mental health help you need..

I have visions of you, in 20 years, living rough & eating your own excrement for sustenance..

Hughes opening with Rogers for the next 6 tests would finally give us the steel at the top of the order that we've missed for so long. But won't happen. Our selectors are not smart enough to see the obvious.
