According to BM, this was supposed to be one half of our greatest ever Test opening pair. Sadly, it now looks shot to shit.

hard done by to be dropped without another shot at opening where he arguably belongs, i guess thats what happens when you focus in on one area to hard, getting caught off the seamers and forget that spinners exist as well.

Just hope for his sake that he doesnt focus on spinners and become shit to pace again. At least hes young and cant be blamed for Bunniesmans obsession.

One of the commentators said he had faced 77 balls off Swann for 9 runs (all singles) and 3 dismissals. Good to see that he has worked hard on his weakness against spin from India.

Watson and Warner don't deserve to be in this team ahead of Hughes. All sensible people see it. But LU trolls and CA geniuss do not.

Watson will keep playing where, when and how he wants and never face getting dropped. Warner will keep disrespecting himself, his teammates and his country and he'll keep getting a million chances because he's good at T20.

If Hughes had an uninterrupted run at the top of the order like they have he would have scored so much more than them.

But instead they've killed his test career while giving less deserving players many more chances.
