He's got 2 100s, a 75 and an 88 and averages 53 in South Africa against Steyn and co. They have good quicks but no spinner worth mentioning. The ideal opponents for WGG to be brought in against.

Yea but he had a different technique then, how do we know his new technique will hold up against the best attack in the world. He was dropped after the 2011 tour of South Africa for poor form so the argument he scored well against South Africa is based on the 2009 series alone. In his last test series in South Africa WilliamGilbertGrace scored 117 runs at 29.95 as an opener.

So ideal that in the last series they bought in Bobby Niney to protect him

And he was found out shortly after.

He was shielded by the selectors against South Afirca at home last year because he is mentally weak
Selector geniusation is not his fault.

He wasn't dropped after the 2011 South African tour. He was dropped after the NZ series here in Australia. Counting both SA series he averages 53.

His had one great series in his career and that inflates his average in South Africa. If he dominates their attack he would not have averaged less then 30 last time he toured there. Look his major scores over there they all came in 2009 last time he toured he past 50 just once in 4 innings. The cracks in WilliamGilbertGrace game are bigger then those in the waca pitch.

How many times do you really expect Dilbert to go through this process BM?

Bashes FC attacks, gets picked for Test duties, gets rendered incompetent once the opposition quickly work him out, dropped, changes technique.

Rinse and repeat.

How about unlatching yourself from the poor bastard's coight for a couple of seasons at least and then revisit the issue. Because after the amount of chances he's been given, he needs to do a hell of a lot more than he's done in the past to truly justify yet another reselection.

WilliamGilbertGrace's runs in FC cricket really shows how far shield cricket has fallen. 10-15 years ago shield runs almost always translated to test cricket runs.

A key plank in the Aussies return to form is NOT having WilliamGilbertGrace there. As if the selectors are gonna f**k it all up now by putting him back in. Dream on.

I know I am in the minority here, but I think Marsh is a very talented batsmen that still has an international future in all three formats.

T20 yes, one of the gun T20 bats. ODI's maybe, but we have Finch, Warner and Watson as a top 3. Tests he is no chance, averaging 25 over the last 2 seasons!
