Good Player Who Could've Been Better
Greg Inglis - He could've been the best of all time had he stayed at fullback.
Justin Hodges - Hard to imagine he could've been a better player but it's true. If only he didn't suffer those dehibilitating injuries or had a better attitude he would've been considered alongside Reg and Meninga as one of the best of all time.
Brent Tate - By all accounts Tate should have been one of those players who had their career cut tragically short because of injury but through out all the odds he managed to carve out a reasonably succesful career. We'll never know how good he could've been without those injuries and that's a real shame.
Timana Tahu - Has all the skills, just lacks the brains to put them to good use.
Jamie Lyon - Will be remembered as a turncoat and just a very good player when he promised so much more early on.
Brett Stewart - Right when he was firming as the best fullback in the comp. he suffered dehibilitating injuries and it remains to be seen if he'll ever reach those heights. Which reminds me...
Anthony Minichiello - He was just beginning to evolve into a playmaking fullback when a back injury effectively compromised his career. I think it's fair to say, the best was yet to come from the Count, sadly we'll never know for sure.
Gorden Tallis - Another who was beginning to go up another level before injuries cut his career short. Still impressed a lot of people even in his worst shape.
Tonie Carroll - Just kept injured at the wrong times. 2007 was a testament to how talented he could be when he was able to string a few games together. That performance against the Tigers is one I still fondly remember.
Brisbane Broncos Players
Brett Seymour - The ugly duckling, the mediocre halfback who should've been one of the best five eights in the club's history. Sadly, alcohol got the best of him and he was never able to really show what he was capable of. Cronulla 08 was barely scraping the bottom of the barrell.
Ben Ikin - Great talent before two knee injuries ruined him.
Steve Michaels - Was considered better than Boyd at one point until he suffered one of the worst knee injuries you could imagine against Souths.
Denan Kemp - No matter how hard he tried he just couldn't recapture that form he displayed in 2008 and he fell behind the next generation. Broncos fans will forever hold a candle for Kempy.
Joel Moon - Made his debut at the age of 18 on the back of his talent. The issue was, he could never settle into a position. Ben Jones had similar issues.
Phil Lee - Everytime he started getting a roll on he'd break down. A true shame.
Paul Hauff - A very talented player with just one terrible achillies heel.
Julian O'Neil - One of the most talented players you'll see. Just had too many demons.
Alan Cann - Just couldn't find any consistensy. Still played a very important role in our 92-93 victories.
Barry Berrigan - Just came to the Broncos too late.
Ben Walker - Was supposed to rival Lockyer for talent, he just never brought it to NRL level.
Palmer Wapau - Just didn't take himself seriously enough to reach the heights he could.
Sid Domic - Bennett valued him more than Sailor. Nowadays people will only remember him for his Aboriginal art.
Troyden Watene - Was a stand out in our inaugral 2008 season. Had the skills of Costigan with the strength of Sammy T but just doesn't have the discipline to make it in the NRL.
