They've changed their tune to pretend they knew the Dolphins would be successful. Dane is the only one still claiming it's a disaster for having the second highest sponsorship revenue, second best attendances and fifth best TV ratings. I
With the signings they have made they might finish higher then the broncos

if they do their crowds at Suncorp could match or beat the broncos

last year reminded me a lot of the joy I had watching the broncos come in and getting massive crowds before they ruined it with super league

we are watching a rugby league powerhouse being developed. The dolphins could become the biggest rugby league club in the world

vlandys was a genius to bring them in

easts tigers merging with the jets would be a similar powerhouse

these qrl clubs tick every box

The Dolphins have reignited the game in Brisbane. There will be a lot of growth for them over the next 10 years. I'm looking forward to the next Battle for Brisbane Derby.

South Brisbane Jets would be a good brand.

We need to make Brisbane more like Sydney to add value to the broadcast rights.

Perth Rectangular Stadium has two good grandstands, but they're not great. For a rich metropolitan area it should be doing much better.

Should be an easy question to answer since you liked the post that claimed it was.

Is a 5k seat stadium better than Perth's? Or you could just admit that you didn't read what you posted and didn't realise the seats were temporary.

Has it ever occurred to you that I "Liked" the post because the poster was trolling Perth Red?

After all the shit Perth Red has said about NRL stadia in Sydney, it's only fair to see if he can handle criticism about PRS.

Keep lying to yourself. You didn't actually read the article you posted. If you had, you wouldn't have posted it in the first place as it proves there is no intention for Barlow Park to be upgraded to NRL quality.

I never said it is going to be upgraded to "NRL quality". I said it's getting redeveloped for the Olympics. I then said an NRL team might see it get developed sooner than planned.

The temporary stands that were erected at QEII Stadium 40 years ago are still there, FWIW.

Todays Telegraph front page and editorial talking up the PNG bid… however it appears that there won’t be an announcement until 2025 and then coming in 2027 or 28…

Any hope this is team 19, and another team gets squeezed in beforehand ? Probably wishful thinking…

Is the 2-3 years really enough time for PNG to get their pathways up to speed given the low base it’s coming from? You would think not if you are being completely honest…

It’s becoming more and more likely, if not already a done deal though… PNG Govt officials talking publicly about it …I think if there is a backflip now then the optics won’t look good.. bit like old mate in Victoria and the Comm games debacle …

Also appears a “deal” has been done with News Ltd to write some positive fluff in the short term…no doubt both Albo and the NRL will then owe them one just in time for the next TV deal negotiations

I predict the positivity from News will last until the formal announcement is made … then over to Buzz and the others to go to work kicking the proverbial out of it… easy stories for them to write

will Albo even be in power in 2025? will V'landys still be around. Maybe China will have imploded by then or taken PNG by force.

We will see…

I assume that the bill will be passed by the next election if it’s going to happen… it will need bipartisan support in my view as I don’t see the lunatics on the Senate Cross bench supporting it..

Hbf park is an average ground at best

it paints Perth in a terrible light

poor corporates facilities

mismatched stands

s

The WA Gov treats RL, RU and soccer like shit. There's tonnes of money in WA, yet its Gov refuses to spend $200m on bringing PRS into the 21st century.

ARLC would be crazy to put a team in such a hostile market.

The PNG Gov is supporting its bid.

If wa govt invests ten percent of what png is getting solely for rugby league the Perth fanboys will all be saying they should get a team

it’s sad our game has such low standards in afl states
