Mate, your a douche.

The article is not a poll about which club is worse.. It is about the knights looking for drugs.

If the article was about the raiders than I would discuss them. You on the other hand do not understand logic.
Who is asking you to discuss the Raiders?

I didn't.

Pretty hard to understand the logic when it's not there.

I'm sure that if f**kwit69 hadn't gotten on his high horse the Raiders wouldn't have even been mentioned in this thread.

The Knights drug affinity dates well back from Wicks,O'Davis,McDougal,Howe,Johns there are plenty, the guy who's name escapes me took the fall for all the big names and ended up at Souths in the ninety's,this is no surprise.

Would've been great to have been a fly on the wall at some of these Newcastle board meetings at the last few years. You would've got to listen to them talk about football and club operations. But one thing is for sure you would have definitely never heard them talk about about players using drugs like Johnsie or anything whatsoever to do with the Danny Wicks case and the stupendously obvious involvement of other players. Nope that wouldn't been discussed. Quite clearly because it never happened. If you aren't convicted of something in a court of law, then it could never have happened. I wonder if any of the board members ever rang gids. Who is gids anyway? It is David Giddington?

This medical condition must run in the family, Ben was banned for steroids and Scott cleared a barbed wire fence to avoid pissing in a cup. That was in Canberra so I'll blame the Raiders for that one.

actually all i said was that johns drug use was the worst kept secret in the australian sporting landscape at the time. Some other pelican decided to have a crack at monaghan and i defended him... hardly getting up on a high horse

but what ever dude, you just keep going around slinging insults like a petulant child suffering roid rage.

Such a joke really. I would much rather see players having some pills and getting off their dick than boozing on and getting violent and causing assaults, rapes, etc etc.

For anyone who thinks drug use isn't rampant, you need to wake up and get out more.

Um there is a Charles Sturt University in Bathurst....as well as Wagga, Albury etc.

On topic. Who gives a f**k if some knights were slipping some pingas. Its really centralised to the knights :sarcasm:. People on here obviously dont get out too much too see how many people are really on illicit drugs every weekend.

I'd wager the drug testing agencies would give a f**k.

Yeah, but its not really a big deal. As I said the only real issue with illegal drugs is that they support organised crime. Outside of that it has no impact on me football players dropping a pill or smoking a joint. Its better for them than hitting the piss. Well professional athletes probably shouldn't smoke but they could just eat it I suppose.

Its only a big deal because those drugs have been somewhat randomly and without scientific basis been deemed unacceptable while much harder drugs are all fine.

Also keeping in mind the lifestyle of processional athletes. They are young, aggressive, risk takers (in general) who have lots and lots of money. They also live very, very active lifestyles so they would metabolise drugs faster than us normals. I imagine that a lot of players indulge in the odd pill.

You can really tell the people in this thread who live behind their keyboards... they're all the ones that think drug use is uncommon, or that the few knights boys aren't representative of society.

The issue with recreational drugs is quite simple, dont get caught
no one could honestly think that its not rife amongst all clubs, and in fact all codes... and in fact anywhere where young the mid 20 year olds are... if you're an elite sportsman, its simple, dont get caught.

If 100 NRL and AFL players used recreational drugs each weekend and id imagine that would be a massive understantment, you'd be lucky to get 1% of them caught... dont be in the stupid one to get pinched

Wayne Bennett wants to coach this mob...another reason the 'it's not about the money' line from him is BS.

P.S. lol@'ring gids', you'd think they'd try to be a bit more subtle on the phone...
