I read in the paper that Sheens may finaly get his payout from the Tigers (about 1.5 mil). I would not be suprised once that is done he signs for a new club hopefully the Dragons. The courts are going to rule against the Tigers.

Will they want compo for him as well if he signs for the Dragons?

Saints had a good squad under Brown but alot of injuries from memory. That is one huge improvement Bennett brought to the club as the injury toll was not at severe as when Browny was around. He knew or his sidekick Hickmans knew how to manage injuries alot better than the Browny and his sidekick.

Yes,remember Browny's hand was forced with introducing young players because of the horror injury toll.

Jeremy Hickmans did a great job holding our team together and is having the devil's own time trying to emulate that feat at The Knights

Not quite fully fit, we were missing a key player: our halfback Matt Head. We still could have won that game - BARRETT WAS NOT HELD FFS

That's right.

I always rated Head; he was a perfect foil for Trent, but unfortunately injuries saw him never reach his full potential. I will never forget that play on Anzac Day to put Coops over in the corner and then to land the sideline conversion...just fantastic.

It wasn't just the injuries, his kicking game became an absolute joke, especially his short kicking game, hence why Soward made an immediate impact when he signed mid-season (who remembers his first game, an upset win against the Broncos(?) with 11 regular starters out - Jamie and Rangi Chase combined to orchestrate and 11-4 boilover). Effectively finished Head's Dragons career.

I have a feeling the injuries had a lot to do with the kicking game being an absolute joke (if you can call it that). It was a chronic knee problem so stands to reason, not to mention the confidence shot he would have taken.

I wouldn't say it ended his career because he had a stint overseas and came back to play some good footy with the Tigers. He was still a fine organiser, and had a lovely short pass, but a lack of speed resigned his fate.

From memory Head had a terrible game that day apart from that play right at the end. Was a great play though.

His passing game was much better than Soward, his kicking game was not that bad but Baz use to do most of that anyway. ANd more improtantly he ran to the line. It was a shame he got injured as he was a quality player. When you look at Dragons highlights the year he was playing he features in nearly all the tries and he did not score many. Mostly assists.

Yeah very controversial game which Saints lost to a bad call. Since that game how many times have you seen polayers told to go back and play the ball insteod of being penalised?

Sad thing is if Saints won that they would have won the GF and Browny would still be coach. They would not have even considered sacking him if he brought in a GF in 2005.

A lot. That's because there is a different rule in play now.
The rule didn't exist in 2005.

Typical. Change rules now. Also the shepherd rule has changed as Browny use to execute that move perfectly but they use to always get called back. Can't remember which game but even Gould said it was a beautifuilly executed move and ref called it back.
Now the Dogs have 2 players running at someone (not 1) and the guy with the ball takes advantage which leads to a try it is no shepherd like they did on Sunday (1st try scored).

The sad reality is this.

All these debates are great and I enjoy them. I really thought after last weeks performance Price would have been sacked. He wasnt. To me that says 2014 is under his guidance. Forget the 4 week rule. There was enough outrage from all corners, for the board to make this call and show some initiative. What they so smartly did achieve, with the so called 4 week rule, is time to register a win, and showcase Marshall. Im sure he will play this week. Ever since the performance of Price has been questioned, I have laid the blame purely on the board. Price is a nice guy, but is not a coach.

Doust and the board are solely responsible for the sham that is the Dragons today.

Every time we hemmer-age we whack a band-aid on the problem.

I cannot back another team against us and I will be hoping we win Saturday... even though I know a win or 2 will lead to more pain.

Its a dilemma I haven't felt for 40 plus years following this club.

I'm tempted to back Parra and every other team we play against until Price is shown the door. If we win our next 3 games - Price will no doubt get the contract renewal for 2015 and like last year will go onto to miss the 8 and finish bottom 3.

Enough is enough. Please leave Steve.

A good call mate. It hard but we are still followers of the mighty Dragons & wish them all the best.

You reap what you sow and Doust must be using some very bad seeds.

How he sits there week after week seeing whats going on and fails to make the tough call is beyond me.

I honestly think he doesn't give a stuff about on field results as long as the Brand is strong and the club has a some what squeaky clean image off the field.
