Raptors looking good

Raptors come from down 19 to beat the mighty Spurs today. VC sat out the whole 4th quarter, scored 4 points. The bench players started the comeback and coach Mitchell left them in.

Suns 9-2 with the Bucks and the winless Hornets to come this week at the America West Arena. An 11-2 start would be awesome for the boys. Stoudemire's numbers are huge. It is all down to having Nash there and finally get some boards at the offensive end (Marion mostly). Arguably one of the most potent scoring sides in the league but the ??? remain what they can do defensively against sides like the Kings, Spurs, Heat, Sonics. But they have been very impressive and they have depth with the Bo Outlaw, Jake Voshkuhl, Casey Jacobsen, Leandra Barbosa coming in for some solid minutes. Q needs to sort his shooting out though he has been cold all year. Which could be a good thing that they are getting it done with his numbers. At present though Nash, Amare, Matrix all heading for the All Star game.

What a great fit Nash has been for the Suns. I'm so poud of him. I think he should be a bigger hero in Canada than he is, but hockey will always be #1 here.

Raptors beat the mighty Shaq tonight - a good win after a bad loss to the Wizards. It's good to have Donyell back.

Beat Miami one night, lose to Orlando the next. It's frustrating following an up and down, .500 team like this.

Yeah, they've gotta make a trade soon. Tonight VC missed a last-second layup that would've forced OT with the Nets. The Raps have lost so many close games in the last seconds.

14-3 now and Nash has been awesome arguably the best post season buy the Suns have had for a long while. Probably since Barkley. Stoudemire must love him.

There was a play late in the 4th where Raptor Matt Bonner fouled KG hard, and the referee ejected Bonner. It was ridiculous, it may have been a borderline flagrant foul, but not worthy of ejection. That's the NBA though, they protect the stars - if KG had done the same foul to Bonner, he wouldn't have been kicked out.

But it seemed to fire up Toronto - they had a 6 point lead at the time. 3 key plays down the stretch - Mo Pete hit a 3 over KG, Chris Bosh drove around KG for a reverse layup/dunk, and Bosh flew out to the corner to block a Spree 3.

But I'm sure you all watched it live down under, right?

Raptors are undefeated in 05. :D

2 good home wins over Orlando and Sacramento. It's good that they have more home games coming up - they have played more road games than any other team in the NBA to this point.

Bosh and Mo Pete have looked good in both wins, and Jalen Rose is turning into a good sixth man coming off the bench.

That won't last. He's been coming out constantly the past few days and making it known that he's not happy with coming off the bench. He seems like a decent enough guy, but when your organisation has just traded its franchise player, the last thing they would've wanted is a decent player with a semi-untradeable contract whinging about his minutes.

Suns get dusted by the Jazz in Utah and were outrebounded 52-32 and out scored in the paint by 54-36. If the have an off night shooting there rebounding has been a hassle the bigger sides are beating them inside. Interestingly Jazz sent them to the foul line for 38 free throws tonight allowing a slower game which suited the Jazz. Still 31-5 is a good point to be at approaching the half way mark.

Nice win over T-Wolves today, following comeback win over Hornets yesterday. Bosh and Mo-Pete are still playing well, and Donyell Marshall hit 3 big 3's in the 4th today.

The T-Wolves seem to be underperforming despite having good talent. Wonder if Mysterygirl saw the game?

No Nash No Suns. Four losses in a row without the great man and only one win in six. The Q should be playing the point not Barbosa.
