That is it. How does he stop it going over the line
Exactly.

Its the issue with having idiots in the box who have been career refs and have zero game feel.

Yeah sure by the rules the arm caring the ball hits the ground... but there is no effing way in hell he couldve stopped than.. only way he doesnt score is by purposely avoiding it and possibly causing injury trying to avoid it.

Just another poor decision..the nrl refs lack soooo much common sense.

Couldnt disagree more.

Harder for him to stop there than it was to score.

With how hard and fast he was running at the line it was almost impossible for him to stop his own momentuem..

You can get tackled mid field and walk 2m forward to play the ball and its play on. Happens all game...

Hit the line at speed and with monentum roll over and plant the ball over the line and its a doubke movement lol...

Lets not kid ourselves smug.... is that held anywhere else on the field?? Had he actually stopped moving?

Absolute joke of a call

His momentum stopped before the line mate, and then he lifts his arm up, extends it, and plants the ball down. Textbook double movement since 1908.

If his arm stays tucked, he's nowhere close to scoring.

He was at full tilt and was rolling over in the tackle lol...

A double movement isnt when your in the process of rolling already due to momentum...

Its when youve actually stopped.... thsn promote the ball after that elbows touched the ground...

At no point had salmon stopped.. it wouldve been harder for him to stop himself scoring than just to score... he wouldve physically had to avoid scoring to avoid scoring lol...

He had that much momentum it was almost impossible for him not to score..

Second half wasn’t great but very proud of a solid win with 6 star players missing, especially considering two Dogs tries were off Burto’s kicks.
Pity O’Sullivan is going to the Dolphins because I feel so much better watching our origin depleted team with him compared to May last year.

Go and read the definition of a tackle and then get back to me (Section 11, Rule 2, Part a)

The bulldogs have serious problems...

Cant use the defence of they dont make enough meters etc.

They won possession and field position tonight quite easily.

I just dont think flano and burto are the answer.

Missing tpj hurt them. Hes probs their best player.

Burto needs to develop a ball playing game real quick..

Hes kicking, especially long is great. Running is his strength. Ball playing leaves a bit to be desired. Had enough ball tonight..

He was good for them. But the try he scored just showed what he does best

So he injures himself not to score... makes sense.

As i said, all his momentum was going that way. Waddell had almost fallen off and was barely holding his arm..

Harder for him not to score and stop himself than it was to score..

Any player who has actually played would know that.

Need to get some blokes in the box witha bit of nrl experience and not idiots

Its funny cause anywhere else on the field in tbat situation where salmon was in complete dominamce he probs gets up takes a 1m step forward for an extremley quick play the ball..

Yet on the try line the way hes naturally rolling has a bloke barely holding on to one of his arms after being tackled at full speed and its a double movement even tho hes rolling that way..

The doubke movement rule is a farce... they MUST watch it in full speed....yet all replays tonight were in slowmo.. well done nrl

If you disagree thats fine... but surely you cant agree with them watching double movements in slow mo as per tonight....

That is seriously a farce.... they are msking a decision on momentum in slowmo...

Lol like is the nrl even serious. Its embarrasing...

For me it was a try every day of the week.

And if we make it to the gf and lose by a bloke scoring that way id say exctky the same thing..

If you physically have to avoid scoring to avoid a double movement it has to be a try.. yes salmon rolled over and scored.. just like to know how he was supposed to stop himself..

Cause at full speed cooper cronk and warren were both praising the try!!
