No Gary, No.We need some more face slapping.
Sad thing is, I reckon everyone will line up to slap Moses.

Yo go with that line of thought, Hindy111.
A season where we make the finals is exciting. A season where we finish in the top four is very exciting.A cardboard cut out of Jack Gibson would be an improvement.
We will keep doing what we have the last 7 years and expect a different result. I suppose a season where we don’t get the spoon is very exciting!!
They were hampered by injuries. Hopefully they'll still be hampered by injuries come finals time.If that’s what you really think then you’re showing them far too much respect. I’m not sure what you mean by “logically refuted” but at one point of the season we were ahead of the Storm and equal with the Roosters in premiership betting. Why would that be the case if they were “far superior”?
At full strength in a finals match they'd beat us nine times out of ten. Hopefully if we do face them in the finals it's that one game in ten where we beat them.Do the stats on each player in the team, the amount of premiership games they've played, the amount of origins they've played, and the amount of internationals they have played and you'll have your answer.
Yes, we can potentially compete, but at full strength the Roosters and Storm are at a different level. No-one could convince me otherwise at this stage.
Then the problem is the expectation. One of the main issues the Eels have is their inability to put away teams even if they’re expected to win comfortably.
Exactly. We start to win a few games and merkins genuinely think we are as good as the Roosters or the Storm. Then the problem is the expectation.
We are! Just look at the ladder. But don't look at the for and against.Exactly. We start to win a few games and merkins genuinely think we are as good as the Roosters or the Storm.
Do you think the roster we have should be struggling the best the last placed Bulldogs, Dragons and Sea Eagles with no Turbo and Fonua Blake? Then the problem is the expectation.
This was after the restart and no they weren’t for that entire time. They were hampered by injuries. Hopefully they'll still be hampered by injuries come finals time.
Is that because they’re that much better than us or we’re not playing to our potential? At full strength in a finals match they'd beat us nine times out of ten. Hopefully if we do face them in the finals it's that one game in ten where we beat them.
Do you think the team is playing as well as it could be as that critics are expecting too much? Then the problem is the expectation.
Nah. On paper both the Storm and the Roosters are far superior. That can't be logically refuted.
Exactly. We start to win a few games and merkins genuinely think we are as good as the Roosters or the Storm.
It is true.Even if that is true.
We have room for improvement but we aren’t playing shit.we have been playing sh*t for half the season.
Agreed. I still think the Panthers at their best are below the Storm and Roosters at their best. Our game against them will be a great test to see where we are really at.This team should be playing as well as the Panthers if coached correctly. Full of youthful enthusiasm and defensive and offensive cohesiveness and purposeful execution.
Not the panic that sets in defensively when a team comes at us or the confused lost and confused attack that is so common now in our sides play.

My theory is our game plan is based on our pigs smashing themselves up every week and mostly for huge minutes. They say the best form of defence is attack and simply put we aint got much in that area from our backs. Our team started post covid super fit and super keen thanks to a change in that area which was terrific. I reckon they have been worn down. Then you have bludgers like Sivo who is reluctant to help. Its all taking its toll but what would I know.I can't understand what happened to our steel in defence from earlier in the year - earlier in the season, we would stare teams who were coming back right in the eyes, and defend our way comfortably to a win.
Arguably, our defence is still strong - but it isn't as good as it used to be.

"We just need more effort".
I don't think we should expect any result in any individual game. Luck always plays a role so anything can happen. Success needs to be judged over the course of an entire season, by which I mean numbers of wins. Number of premierships is a dumb metric because for one team it'll be one while for everyone else it will be zero.Do you think the roster we have should be struggling the best the last placed Bulldogs, Dragons and Sea Eagles with no Turbo and Fonua Blake?
