Ricky -Hard to judge but did cleans quad and made good signings. 6/10

SK - Terrible 2/10

DA - 6.5/10. Made a GF. SACKED FOLLOWING YEAR

Hagan 6.5/10 Won 2 finals games... Mental illness year after.

B.Smith - 7/10. Had some great success
I assessed every season over the last 14 years based on performances and posted it on here last week. It doesn't align with your ratings.

We have been a much improved team in the last 7 years compared to the 7 before that. That's irrefutable.

With the side we have finishing top 4 should be at the minimum. Are you saying only Bea Arthur would get able to get this squad into a top 4 finish??
Only a unicorn would think we have a definite top four side. I tipped us to finish sixth, so anything above that is a bonus.

I was just putting facts down. BA has done OK. Not great. 2014,2015,2018 I reckon we underachieved.
2014 and 2015 were within the margin of expected results. In 2017 we went better than the quality of the squad would suggest. Was it overachieving or just luck? Never rule out good and bad luck. It accounts for most variance in footy. That's why you can't judge a team on a single game, and you can't judge a player or coach on a single season.

2018 we definitely underachieved and it was good that we identified the causes quickly and made the required fixes for 2019. I would say last year we performed within the margin of expectation and are doing so again this year.

Yes. BA deserves credit for that. But sometime certain individuals can onky take you so far.
Not always the head coach, Riff were ordinary in a lot of ways until Barrett came in and changed their attacking structure (Api too of course).
In business you need to hire the best assistants you can, think that's where we need to go with the roster we have, find people who can move the tactics to suit the players not same old.

Why then doesn’t BA do this ? Why wouldn’t he hire someone like David Furner or Jason Taylor even Shane Flanagan?

He'd never hire anyone capable of taking his job, it's one of his biggest flaws. Oh that and being absolutely tactically inept.

This is where Marky O, The Administrators Bestie and The Board have to step up. Who hired Elkin? Was it BA?

It's taken him 7 years, now we the squad he wants there should be no excuses huh??? You wouldn't think so by some on here.
As recently as 12-18 months ago you were bagging him out constantly saying he couldn't build a squad and was shit at recruiting.

Without giving him any acknowledgement and credit you now appear to have backtracked from that and have accepted that he can. He's already proven you wrong once. Why can't he do it again?

By the way, I'm personally of the view that the squad was never as shit as you thought it was nor as great as you now think it is. Just highlighting a fairly dramatic change in your position.
