It isn't that the call alone cost the game.

It was huge in the game.

It should of been 8-6 at halftime.

12-8 when Edwards scored and a different tempo of the game.

Not to mention we would of been attacking their line for another set

In my mind, it was a 12 point turn around.

The call was massive, and then along with some of the dodgy penalties. It had huge impact in the game overall.

As I said earlier with a huge milestone game for DCE......Manly playing well, a huge feral crowd behind them, baying for every penalty.

Facts, not opinion.

In the long run it's possibly good for Penrith's season. The realisation that the mongrel needs to be turned up a notch, and that hard work does better than talent every day of the week.

Also a good number in team needed the bye big time. Martin, Fish and others need a chance to rest and rehab niggling injuries.

We lost because Ivan picked injured players

We lost because the Sea Eagles deserved there victory.

At the same time I agree with Alice the massive calls during the game that all went the way of the Sea Eagles.

Penalties coming out of your own end, are a massive leg up and it’s difficult to secure any sort of momentum when the penalty count ends up 11-3 against you.

Martin and Fish had no business being out there. They were both embarrassed

There selections can’t be used as an excuse.

I think it’s disingenuous to say they were embarrassed.

We collectively as a team were just not good enough On the day, they wanted it more, they got the breaks that are well documented and we weren’t on our game sufficient to overcome the adversity.

They were embarrassing and shouldn't have been asked to play injured

Do you really think Ivan would of played JFH if he was still injured, after having sat him out for 2 weeks prior. And that we won those two weeks without him.

JFH played shit, not injured. Manly had a plan to belt him every time he ran the ball and it worked, and threw him of his game.

He's never played that bad before. He was getting manhandled by Nathan f**king Brown. If he wasnt hurt then it's time to retire.

Martin was clearly unable to lift his arm, no way you missed that?

It doesn‘t mean he played injured though, he just didn’t handle the Sea Eagles plan for him. Ivan hasn’t rushed back Sorensen or Nathan, so why would he risk it with JFH this early in the season, and especially after we had been winning without him anyway?

As for Martin, if he hadn’t of been able to lift his arm before the game, can you really see our first rate medical team clearing him to play, and Ivan picking him? It’s a contact sport, so he may have fine beforehand and one wrong hit in the game reinsured his shoulder.

Martin injured that shoulder the week before. They should've rested him instead of trying to pain killer his way through an early season game.

No shame in losing a battle. As IBM said we shall win the war.

Imagine if Manly get those performances out of Brown every week. Good player when he wants to be. Good cricket player apparently too.

Lodge to come back. Decent depth as well. I rate Manly alongside the Cows which means they are bottom 8 quality.
