This game can probably be simply described as Melbourne were too good and Parra weren't good enough.

The refs weren't that bad really. Parra were their own worse enemy. Cummins had no real choice when a player says to you "How much are they paying you"

But he should have answered truthfully :) , I mean we need to know

fair question if you ask me, Slater dropped that ball cold after trying to play it way to quick but the whistle gets blown. If you thought that the two sides were reefed evenly you are kidding yourself. I said to a few mates i have a feeling the refs will nail us and i was correct. Watched the game with two QLDers and they agreed it was a joke.

That was a f**king disgraceful performance today, they couldn't hold onto a ball, they couldn't f**king tackle, the deserve every ounce of criticism they get!

What a f**king joke of a "team" we are, seriously........

The referees were no doubt biased towards Melbourne but we just didn't show up.

The best part of the game was Sandow calling the ref a cheat, because it was true and the only passion i saw out there today!

I really hate Cam smith.A pig of a player. And Bellamys slow the ball tactics are the reason so many fans are turning to AFL and Soccer. They lift, twist spin and lay on players. They milk penlaties too. There a very smart team in this reguards. And to win you need to do the same. This is modern day rugby league

Does anyone think Sef Paulo's position is under threat, he certainly had one of those days

We beat ourselves today but the crusher tackle penalty and Sandow sin bin again illustrates how the Storm always get the rub of the green at home. I can't remember the last time a player went to the bin for dissent. Moreover, it shouldn't have been a penalty; Hayne was square and Smith took a step before Hayne slapped his arm. Protected species that Mr. Smith.

Deserves a stint at Wenty for the effort today.

We will likely also need to cover Mossop's injury, although Allgood has served his suspension and Lussick may be fit.

I would hope it is. I also don't think De Gois is up to 80 minutes, so I'm hoping we might see a utility in the bench. Gower in to the back row, Edwards or Lussick to lock, Kelly or Pritchard onto the bench IMO

Did Kelepi get on today? Deadset didn't see him.

Yes the referee was clearly favouring Melbourne - the Storm get away with so much it isn't funny

But as usual, once we get behind, we just drop our bundle and toss the towel in. Play for the 80 minutes please...........such a frustrating day

Kelepi came on in the last 15 or so. Made sone strong runs but also missed an easy tackle that led to a try

Though that said there is still a big difference between them and the real top teams.

Shows the difference in quality teams.

The usual top teams like Manly, Storm, Rabbitohs, Dogs, Roosters all in a different league when healthy.

For-and-against is the best indicator of the quality of a team and ours is shithouse.

The Storm play to the referees and we do not. It is just one of the many areas of the game that we are poor at. There is a long list of things that Parra need to get sorted out before we will trouble the better teams when they play their best.

The entire performance came down to the fact that the Storm needed this win alot more than we did and both teams played accordingly.

Well we can score points. For this reason we need too pick our best defensive forward pack.

8-Mannah
9-D gois
10-Allgood
11Edwards
12B.Smith
13Gower

14Lussick
15Terepo
16Jnr Paulo
17Pauli Pauli

Im assuming Mossop is gone and we need to stiffen our defense.B,Smith wont make meters but his defense will be fine

He's a fairly ordinary player in general, but I think with a non-standard halfback playing in your 7 I think Parra probably need him to perform some of the tasks a halfback would generally perform.

In my opinion this Parra team has 5 players that seem to share the load of a general halfbacks play and Paulo is an important part of that.

Its no wonder the players get frustrated and confused, thats exactly how the fans feel.

Makes you want to walk away from the game sometimes.
