Pleased with the win but a bit annoyed we couldn’t get the half century after the halftime score.
I was also rather disheartened at how slow the hammer made our guys looks. They didn’t even get close.
I wanted to see us put 80 on them just so I could then watch Bennett’s press conference….not to be.

The fins were a lot better in the second half. They lack talent but they’ve got plenty of resilience.

I agree, their front line D and scramble was a 100 times better. All the good judges will point out the flaw in the Eels for being unable to go on with the demolition, but the Dolphins certainly went back to their systems pretty well.

We needed to go back to building the game, plenty of possession and go forward through good decipline.

Yeah. Even if we were better in the second half we weren’t going to pile on points like the first half. It’s disappointing not to rack up a bigger score but I’ll still take a 28 point win!

Only way it ends this week would be if the case is dropped from the cops or thrown out by the magistrate?

Pleads guilty and sentencing will be a later date.
Pleads not guilty and either goes to another mention or trial at a later date.
No for this charge sentencing may happen on the day - it did in the case I ran

there has been no election so the maximum sentence will be two years in the local court anyway - but to be clear, there will be no custodial

I’m saying if he pleas this Wednesday it will be as a result of representations and agreed facts with the prosecution which will reduce the offending and lead to sentence on the day - non-custodial

that’s how I see him returning to the field this week

But of course I probably know less than others about the actual facts so who knows

True but then it is unlikely as the court will want a sentencing report. They need them when considering gaol versus community service work. I got community service work a few years ago. The reports take 6 weeks and so he would need to sit out a while longer. Maybe a report isn’t needed if he has a persuasive lawyer.

Yep. I'n the case of a guilty plea, defence will want experts reports about Browns upbringing, and other mitigating evidence to reduce whatever the sentence might be. This all takes time.

All this talk about scoring 80 was a pipe dream no NRL unless they give up can concede 80.

Unlike the AFL where a team like Sydney Swans can score 200 points in a match.

I would assume is the equivalent of a league team scoring a 100.

Code in crisis and its not Rugby League.

I suspect this may be the case, and also in everyone's interest - Brown, Parramatta, NRL and of course the alleged victim of Brown's alleged minute of madness actions.
