All those tap back attempts cost a lot of territory and took the pressure off Melbourne. We need patience. Great kicks and we negate the result.

Manly have Dogs and Cowboys, and a shit tone of PD better than us, they'd have to collapse for fourth to be in play.

Roosters have Raiders, and we have a good 30 odd points in PD on them, no Manu hurts their attack and defence, we could well earn fifth regardless of whether we can beat the Pennys.

I think the decision to rest or not should be made on how that leaves us looking come first week of the finals, and maybe getting some guys who need game time some decent game time.

They had 3 out is what I was saying. They weren’t full strength. Jennings is a big dumb strong winger like Sivo. Having both of them out cancels each other out.

I'd say the merkin they replaced gennings with was a pretty fair equivalent if not better ..... i just think its funny given how much stick he used to cop on here

Yep i wouldnt be playing Junior and papali'i next week. Give them a week off. I would tempted to start cartwright at 5/8 and rest moses as well.

We arent going to have a week off in the finals so may as well take it next week. 5th or 6th there isnt much difference outside of opposition week 1.

Even though the temptation would be they have got their mojo back keep playing. I would freshen up everyone for 1st week of the finals and if we win that week we would technically be on a 3 game winning streak with our preferred team on a roll with confidence against a team coming off a loss in week 1

I looked at Melbourne's overall win loss record all time against teams excluding the ones no longer in the comp.

And for all the trouble and misery Melbourne has caused over the years we have a very good record against them considering the record of other teams against them.

Parra have the 3rd best record against them out of all current teams in the comp at a 40% winning record. Only the dogs and roosters have better ones.

Take out the finals matches and just count the regular season games. And Parra have the best win% against them in H&A games as our 0-7 finals record takes it from 48% in H&A games to 40% overall.

We also have the best record as the away team against melbourne 7 from 16 at 43.75%.

Maybe BA was right we love playing Melbourne as long its not a finals match

We were arguably more under-strength than they were.

melbourne rarely struggle to get to marker - their holding down is second to none .... we were regularly leaving them sprawled on the ground unable to get to marker ..... I don't know if it was us (good) or them (shit) - maybe a bit of both

Exactly. A hooker that thinks the workload is too great. No doubt he has talent just not as much as he's given credit for. Tries to create something on just about every touch and doesn't like to tackle too much. I'd rather Reedy any day.

What are you talking about? When fully fit he is a tackling machine. Injuries and lack of game time are his main issue right now, not lack of ability or talent.

My take - we physically belted them.

Every run we made, had a lot of aggression, and venom - it's as of we had 13 Moimoi's our there last night.

This had the result of scattering them quite a bit.

We are known as being a power team - last night, we literally belted the best team in the NRL into submission, and I have not been this impressed by our team in a long time.

What was also pleasing to see was our shape in attack - we had decoy runners, we weren't getting into our own way, second phase play was played up tempo...we were very slick.

I am very, very impressed.

That, and our defence was brutal - we were hitting hard all game.
