The scrum base play where Paulo threw the ball over the sideline with Sivo 20m in field was super cool.
I remember a few years ago, the one and only scrum trick shot that actually worked, and the camera went on BA, and he was up off his chair pumping fists in the air like we just scored the match winner in the GF.....I've never seen him so pumped. It was comical. The guy truly is a simpleton.

Simple things amuse very simple minds.

When this club does it's best work, when it doesn't matter.

Under Bea Arthur how is our record in pressure must win games??? Wouldn't be that flash.
I reckon it's 7 from 17.

Included the last 2 games of 2014 to bottom 4 sides we lost only had to win 1 to get into the 8.

Final round games we had to win to get into the top 4 in 2017, 2020 & 2022 I have included as wins.

We did win them so if we are going to include 2014 its fair we include those 3 as if we lost we would have finished 5th or 6th and not had a double chance.

Plus the 4/12 finals record.

The Townsville prelim final is an outlier.

It's truly incredible we won that game with the amount of ball the cowboys had and we had barely anything. It was played at origin like intensity against a parochial QLD crowd in outrageous hot conditions.

It's one of the few times I have seen Parra side actually defy all odds and win a game on defence while on the back foot in a high pressure match.

I think we're at crossed purposes here. I was referring to your comment about the last 2 seasons, with respect to 'ambushes'. And I think there were plenty of candidates for that in 2022 at least. In 2022 we won most of our close games, in 2023 we lost em.

Only one question really, will these one-trick ponies come with the correct mental approach to be able to deliver their power game so the brilliance of certain individuals is sufficient for them to execute.

If it's Yes we win, if it's No we lose.

Outside of that in reality we've got sweet f**k all to bring to the game.

I saw Lara the other day in her silver C300 Mercedes.

I know that I have razzed her on these pages before, but to be fair, yummy mummy.
Imagine the car she could afford if she was decent at tipping! Actually I won the AFL and NRL tipping comps at work last year and I still drive a Mazda. Life isn't fair.

This is an important point. Close games are as good as a coin toss for whether you win or lose. Some years we've won most of them and other years we've lost most of them. Same coach, same leaders. This is why points differential is a better gauge of the team's quality.

Parraball is how we blew an eight point lead on Monday.
No it wasn't. It was being camped in Their 20 and not knowing how to score. We dropped passes and threw them over the sideline not because of paraball, but because they were set plays. Bea probably sent the message get it to sivo at all cost because not just one player did it, many did so that wasn't of the cuff. It was predetermined and it looks like we didn't practice it at training
