I watched him closely last match. Hes started to do that hop and skip b4 the defensive line and as such isnt as effective. Needs closer watching cause we already have too many of the hop and skip brigade.
Lets face it. An expensive player would be totally wasted the way we continue to play footy. Get an Iro or a Schiller or two or three and save money. Weve already given Lomax permission to box ffs.

Yep I would offer IRO and Schiller a spot next year do the best to get Rid of Sivo.

Not resign Harper and keep Simmonson on hopefully on nothing more than 200k.

No I'm attacking shit takes. I'd love to believe we could magically sack someone and become premiership heavyweights, but that is fantasyland. You merkins need to grow up and accept the facts. We sucked for nearly thirty years before Arthur or O'Neill or Sarantinos were anywhere near the club.
I don't think anyone here thinks sacking BA and getting a new coach we'll become Penrith but it's pretty obvious to see it's not working. We're not signing the right players, our tactics haven't improved and either our defence or offense is broken every year. The only constant to that is BA.

Get off this shit. It was this f**king attitude that was part of the problem last week.
I’ll take 50 one point wins over 1 fifty point win. You play the game you’re actually in, not the one you thought might happen.
A good side wins. That is all.
Last night we had plays break down that I thought were ok because we did the right thing, just Canberra also did the right thing, but comparatively I was shitted off because then we throw a premeditated pass that was a bees dick of being a try at the other end, instead Sivo strolls over because Schiller just didn’t attack it hard enough.

We have basicaly the same side for years. We don't need 10 rounds to build new combos. With all the ball we had we should of blown the Dogs away I felt. To me it was like what have we worked on in the off season.
Looked like he same old. We've yet to play a side full strength that's put it together yet.

I was there, so did watch it. Sammy L scored 5 tries. They were not individual efforts, they were off the work of MA, Blaize and Doorey.

Yeah but the stats say he scored 5 tries so using stats he should be in first grade.....

If you were there you would have seen how poor Blaize was in defense at fullback and also taking kicks at fullback. Yet he still gets picked for first grade..

Btw this isn't a Blaize V Sander as you want it's a why is he picking Blaize but don't pick Sanders.

Kick and tackle that's all we need from Sanders keep it simple.

My initial thoughts on Blaize aren't looking so misguided anymore are the folks.

I told you all that he was not ready for the grind and brutality of weekly NRL and some of you jumped at me with his ball in hand performance against manly. But as I said, there are two side to the game and he isn't ready defensively at NRL level. When the team is running down hill any merkin that can run and step will look great.

Hell look at that other over rated clown in our team Dylan Brown ffs! like I said he isn't a student of the game. He has no idea how to manage or control a game from a mental point of view. He has all the skills and ability in the world, but his laissez-faire, I'm so cool, I march to the beat of a different drum, cos I'm a different kind of cat attitude just doesn't wash at NRL level if you don't put the tireless and endless work in.

Such a pity. he is so gifted but has the mind of a child.

Well Blaize isn't playing FB in NRL, so moot.

My whole point is that Blaize was having more of a dig than Sanders and his talent was there for all to see. I thought it was obvious, but you clearly read the game different to me. All good.

His stats were the exactly the same in D & A. as Will Penisini, the guy he was standing next to. They both got toweled up.

He's not a 7. Does not get paid to be a 7. Busted his arse cleaning up in scramble. Overrated clown ? Dude.

Yeah. I was there as well. He was no world beater in that game for sure. I recall one shocking tackle attempt early by Big Sam. The kid has a great presence about him but he just plays average at best. Id suggest he was a pretty big Rhino coming through the age groups. It dosent always translate.

Not moot at all BA picked him for NRL at centre when he was playing at fullback in CUP 2 totally different roles.

More of a dig? They had different roles..

Of course I read it differently I look at everything not just the pretty shit everyone gets excited about...

You’re the one who tells us the Dogs are closer to a premiership.
When teams destroy other teams it’s partly because yes they play well but a big factor in professional sport is that the other team played terribly e.g. last night.
Against the Dogs we played pretty well but the Dogs still put in.
And then there are moments in games where you do everything right but there’s some smart defence or desperation tackle to stop you scoring. Shit happens. As long as you play right and are ahead at fulltime, who cares, there’ll be better scores during the season if you’re a good team

Each opposing team this year had as their major plan, attack from their own half with speed and when in the red zone, spread to wings.Even the Dogs tried it until Addo Carr got injured , but Blake Wilson showed what could happen even when our forwards dominated.

As a team we have the SLOWEST overall backline in the comp, and if the opposition make a break outside our forwards, it’s almost a lost cause trying to catch speedsters as we have none. How that hasn’t been addressed is neglectful, as a further critique :- who has been signed of any note since Bernie Gurr and BA were in that position . Not to difficult to answer, Gurr leaving and being replaced by the current pelicans has seen the team seeming weaker each year.

Listen here pou, as I and many others have stated on many occasions before, stats don't always tell you or show you the real picture. Use your eyes and brain a little.

Yes, clown. Until he shows he can use all the God given skills and talent he has been given by displaying game management in basic areas that he should know and be capable of doing, like when to kick, where to kick, count numbers, when to go direct or run wide, when to play conservative or expansive, work with the other spine players as a unit, or other such basic traits for a play maker that is a student of the game, then he is a clown to me.

He is a running play maker, but at present he is a dumb dumb in the 7 jumper that was clueless out there two weeks in a row and the whole team responded accordingly.

I am not excusing our pathetic reserve grade defensive patterns and lack of aggression and cohesiveness in this department, but when players sense a lemon in the 7 jumper, them psychologically whether they know it or not their performance generally also suffers and drops too. You just have to look at any team bar the Panthers when they lose their main playmaker, how they tend to drop off defensively too and the longer that play maker is missing the worse it get too.
