Ok. I’m scrapping that debacle. Moving forward Hodgson gets dropped to the bench for a 20 minute stint, Dunster replaced by Lumelume and Paulo back in for Murchie. I think we’d get most of the stupid out of our game and look a lot more solid across 80 minutes.
When have we ever got the stupid out of our game? It's part of our DNA. Today's game only reinforced my personal opinion.

What an embarrassing display, we fell in against the worst team in the comp. First contact was weak, line speed non existent and kick chase poor. This team looks as stale as month old bread.
We didn’t chase the collision or earn the right to play footy on the back of our structures and processes.

Dropping Hodgson will help in that regard. He’s weak, slow and isn’t very intelligent. Everyone has to work harder around him. Arthur needs to bite the bullet. I’d take Jake playing that middle role for 10 minutes either side of half time and cover the halves….from me that’s saying something.
He is in defense, his work rate is way behind Rheeeed's, and our big blokes are getting moved around more and tiring to compensate.

That means they have less in the tank when we have the ball.

I think we agree

As soon as you name a single player you’re looking for a scapegoat and not seeing the game objectively. Our biggest issue today was unforced errors (a matter of luck, imo). Our second biggest was our right edge defence, which is a team problem.
So I guess Arthur is a scapegoater for dropping Waqa and Simo. Why else drop them? Why do any players get dropped if you can’t single them out for poor performance. When individual players aren’t performing, you drop them to improve the entire team and see if they can improve against a lesser opposition.

by your argument, no one should ever get dropped because that singles them out. Some of your arguments are laughable.

Thats one of the ugliest wins Ive ever seen. That win is the like the drivers today in front of me on a left turn lane, the green arrow is on but took them 5 minutes to realise whats happening. I dont know how they got away it tonight. 22-6 up they shouldve gone on with it but lost their way after the Sivo try. Its like they sat back and thought no worries we'll put 40 on them. Even at that point of the Sivo try they werent convincing but it just seem to get worse with ridiculous errors from Penisini and Dunster. Why their poor kicks were knocked on from us I'll never know?

Look I'm happy to get the 2 points but gee they need a massive improvement to be up against Canterbury, another team they tend to struggle on occassions.

Hopefully Paulo coming back will improve them.

When you are losing the middle, your edges are gonna suffer.

Hodgson's shortcomings in defence are a big part of that for mine.

Simonsson wasn’t dropped, and Blake’s confidence is shot. He needs a stint in reserve grade to get back to basics.
