He is quick so can definitely run but I reckon he’s been told to shelve it for the most part.

It's possible that they are keeping his game plan simple for him. Letting him catch up to the pace of the game. Maybe eyes up footy is something he can worry about when he settles in more. His NRL career is literally 3 x 30 mins so far.

Yeah its an often repeated story. Maguire loved him and Newcastle look better for his inclusion. Ill be interested to see his full seasons impact at The Knights. Ill also be interested to watch The Knights once Kalyn is back. Any chance Kalyn is The Knights Jarryd Hayne?

i said a few years ago Gazza that Ponga is the new Jarryd Hayne on-field version.

Look at him in Origin and how motivated he looks compared to club footy.

Ponga has never won a final at the Knights and this will be his 6th season.

They have had a Origin front-rower pair in Safiti & Klemmer, test backrower in Frizell. So its not like they have had crap sides around him.
