I get that's how you put pressure on them. But unfortunately they were always going to throw the ball around chasing points.
Which we combat by being boring and forcing them to throw it around from their corner and getting on the front foot defensively to pressure them into errors as they try to throw the ball around from less ideal positions. If they stick, they stick. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad game plan.
What makes it bad was being weak in tackling

Agree. So why back training at centre in off season if wanted to convert to a winger. I'd would of worked on his weaknesses which is the high ball.
Maybe he has an eyesight problem that makes it hard to judge kicks, and playing him on the wing is a lost cause.

@hindy111 will be talking him up there with future Origin Star Shawn Blore after that one game.
Tupou has the physical side in spades but who knows about his footballing nous whilst he’s playing for the Tigers
Guys like Tupou are great when you’ve got 57% possession. f**k, even Waqa Blake carves up with that much ball.

Can we give Dunster more than 1 game before we throw him under a bus ?

He was poor. He is coming back from a career threatening injury.
He was never that great prior to injury. Looked ok is about all.

Letting him regain fitness and confidence in a lesser grade is not throwing him under the bus. It's about picking your best side. BA has put himself in a corner now. I have no issue if he is picked but if we reverted back to Waqa I'd understand also.

Shame he didn't find out before the grand final. But BA has never been big on finer details so I am with you it's possible our inept coaching staff are unaware of such things.
That's pretty good of you to pick up on. Us simpletons just assume our coaching staff are all over stuff like this. But you've identified how ordinary they are and how they are capable of basic errors.

Unfortunately with our defense if the opposition throw the ball around they will score points. Everyone knows that hence the poor game plan. We should not have tried not to lose but to score a lot more points. Attack attack attack.

Tupou is a wrecking ball. He is the type of winger clubs want. Big fast strong and powerfull.

Unless you have lightning speed like Alex Johnston and excellent skills you're a waste of space as an NRL winger without being 100kgs+ with power.

Waqa didn’t carve up with 70% of the ball in reserve grade lol.

Nothing in that side bar Morreti,Doorey and maybe down the track Mataele will amount to anything that good.
Mataele from what I saw is far from convincing either. He missed another 7 tackles and his runs where Tepai Moera like. He needs a lot of work still.

Queen Gutho like seriously.

Not sure what team that fan supports but seriously all these bottom feeder clubs would give an arm or leg for a player like Gutho.
Fan of a bottom feeder club here. Can confirm I’d be happy to have him. Can also confirm that if he carried on like king merkin after the win like that I would hope that a teammate gave him a polite clip for being a merkin rather than giggling like a schoolgirl like Cartwright.

its called kulcha. Top teams have it. Evidently bottom feeder clubs like Tigers and Parra don’t

Yeah, BA is rinse and repeat. If we do a good job and have good discipline we can usually win this way. However, fatigue and errors is always in this team. We cant seem to do the Panthers as their back 3 takes alot of pressure off the forwards. Our forwards gets too fatigue because of this. Plus we have enough nuffies who makes mistakes.

In the finals, the other teams get better too and so it becomes a real tight tug-of-war.

From TCT,

We really did just stick to the game plan.
Post the kick stats, particularly “diffusions”. That is the stat that tells the tale of the game. Moses the difference,

I am curious why did brooks not take the conversion at 22-20 but do the penalty goal at 28-20.

Was Api hooked after 1 kick or Brooks didnt want the pressure at 22-20.
Just to answer the question, according to a mate who is at most training Api has been best kicker at training
