Carty should only be used sparingly and certainly not as a solution to a major problem.

His 50/50 trick shots and arm grab defence belongs in Super League, not a crucial bench spot. I'm fine for him to be used for 15 mins every 3/4 weeks, but more than that he becomes a liability.
He also got a couple ot TAs in the 2s Gronky. Like Jake, they were more good luck than good management. I was really disappointed with both those guys yesterday.
Hey Gronky, what about Komalafe catching the Tigers penalty kick for touch and then putting his foot over the touch line. That was the bone head play of the day for mine. Almost laughable that one.
Eli and Cini went ok though.

The arm carrying the ball touched the ground whilst an Eel was in contact with him. He then rolled which promoted the ball. Never a try and will be disallowed next time it happens for sure but thats not why we lost. Tigpies definitely the better team. I thought the huge call that went against us was the massive offside of The Tigpies when trying to block Mitch's field goal attempt. Even from my vantage point it was obvious they jumped the gun significantly. That said our positioning of Mitch on that set was diabolical as was our urgency when defending Hastings attempt. It was non existant.
Guthos short drop out defied belief. His brain dosent work well under pressure other than when defending.
The Tigers raced up before the ball was even played. The ref is too gutless to blow the penalty. They wanted it more. The better team won on the day as much as it pains me to say it

Komalafe is still a kid and I think he's improving every match vs the men.

Cini is coming along nicely, however was crabbing a bit yesterday.

Eli provides energizer bunny vibes. I like him.

Moses was the least of our worries. We scored four tries and he set up two of them. He did his job.
He didn’t do his job, he missed an important conversion and then didn’t nail the field goal to ice the game. Icing games is his job it’s why he’s our highest paid player.

Tamou laying in the ruck didn’t help things one bit. Should’ve been a penalty tbh.
The problem there is that the ref did not have the guts to rule penalty or 6 again because of the time and position of the game. If he had laid there earlier in the game he would have. Once again inconsistent refereeing.

Lol. Yeah I still think our two worse losses was in 2014. We only had to beat 1 of 2 garbage sides Knights or Raiders to play finals. They both blew us off the park inside 30mins....
Would’ve been hard to get up after beating Manly in the grand final the week before. Great win.
Also a final against Storm where we embarrassed ourself. Was 28 -0 I think. A week after we flogged Brisbane.
Another grand final hangover ffs

I think he was meaning that if we had won then we’d be glossing over some major issues. Our defence from the start of the season has been woeful. Even the coach admitted this. Sometimes a loss could be a wake up call that things need to be fixed. I hate losing but we definitely did not deserve to win today. We were poor.
Nobody’s glossing over anything. Arthur’s said last week that the team were gutted the Titans got so close. There will be alarm bells in our squad about their poor defence. They need to turn up every week and stay in the game for 80 minutes. Our lack of intensity sometimes is alarming.

We are still top four despite all this. We can only hope they’re looking ahead to the stronger teams. Next week won’t tell us anything on that count.

The next 5 rounds will decide our year.
Surely the finals will decide that? The next five rounds will show us how strong we are, but so far the 2022 premiership looks like a two horse race and we beat one of those horses a couple of weeks ago. It shows that any given result during the season is meaningless. The Storm didn’t slit their wrists because they lost a game as favourites and neither should we. We should be worried at conceding so many points every week.

At this point in time this is a poorly coached team. We consistently dominate the forward battle against most teams and yet still continuously get dragged into dogfights no matter the quality of the opposition. Any well coached team would know how to take advantage of such fantastic field position. This isn’t a new thing. Its been going on for the last 3 seasons now. I get the impression we are only as good as we are sometimes because of the quality of the roster (mainly forwards) who manage to get up for certain games. We seem to win in spite of the gameplan rather than because of it. The run lines in the 20m zone are crap, the goal line defence is awful and the use of the bench is terrible.
lol yeah the forwards who fall apart when the opposition get a repeat set are f**king awesome.
