Doesn't happen against Storm or Roosters, just their opponents. That's why players from those teams sometimes stand offside with immunity.

Definitely a sin bin as Jenko never got back after they broke the line. It's a sin bin every day of the week.

He didn’t get binned because he was offside, he was binned because Cummins was exclusively watching him and explicitly called him out. It was a Grade 4 stupidly ignoring the ref penalty. In hindsight, the tacklers should have fallen asleep or put hands all over the ball, Cummins was too busy telling Jenko he was off

f**k the sin bin ... it happened, live with it

But the tackle from Drown immediately before it was awesome. Drown was standing next to Jennings. As soon as he saw a potential break he piss bolted to the other side of the field to make a brilliant try saver. Meanwhile jenko just loafed back down his side of the field and never got within 5m of being onside.

The Roosters made four errors and completed at 90%, you don't lose completing at 90%, we capped that off by literally handing them back the ball on two of those errors. The Roosters won't play better.

There's some other shit there like Blake's D being shocking, and us getting frustrated and going a bit too sideways ( again ) but that can be fixed. We can compete.

What i liked most about that game was our turning up in defence, there's a lot of work being done there in the little efforts, and that's gonna keep us in the game no matter who we play.

The other thing i liked was that in the first half, despite having no ball, we f**king bashed the merkins, we let 'em know we were there to play.

Roosters right now are pretty clearly the bench mark, but I think we are close enough to 'em to not fear 'em come finals time, if we can just improve in those areas we were off we can beat them.

I don't think Raiders or The Storm are going to be real problems for us, sure won't be easy, but we have the defence to beat both those sides this year, and I reckon we will.

Manly have the talent
Knights have the attitude
Penrith might be a smokie also

I reckon Evans and a fit alvaro with game time would've suited us more. No stone, no peni.

I also thought, they held us down in the ruck more than we held them down. What happened to vlandys sin binning

Lastly, it was great that we could keep teddy in check. In other non parra games, he gets around players so easily

Why?
It means less minutes for Jnr and Rcg and Brown.
Kafusi.Niakuore and Evan's is all the bench needs. I reckon even two of those guys is enough cause our 11,12,13 can all do 80mins and and start props have no dramas with 55mins. So all need is 2 guys for 30. That gives those guys a rest and Brown 70mins.
People don't seem to understand that if we used 4 bench players we just weaken our starting 13.
Kafusi and KE have the potential to come in and keep our team just as good for that period if play to best.
Niakuore,Terepo,Stone will mean a drop off.

Unfortunately Nrown will probably get another week off cos of past indiscretions.

So i guess niukore back to 13 for him, kevans to bench .... do peni and stone keep their spots? Who would replace em? Gower?

Manly have already lost two, I don't disagree they're a chance, but I don't think they can afford to lose today to the Raiders putting them at three wins and three losses if they are to make Top four, Knights are definitely a shot. Same with Penrith, they are playing well, and of all the contenders I reckon they have the kindest draw.

I reckon our intensity dropped as soon as we hit the front, our next set with the ball was only average and our kick chase was quite poor. It’s something we can definitely work on going forward.

I thought Kaufusi was very good against such quality opposition with so little football under his belt. He should be a regular in our 17 going forward.

we were down 8 to nil, and not looking likely. Yet we got the next 2 tries and looking the better side, I reckon that was going up another gear....

the turning point was our 21 year old hooker who is expected to play 80 mins each week missing a tackle.....

Yep. Expected to ply 80 minutes and make a million tackles. Keary targeted him because he could see he was out on his feet. Also, is Waqa Blake really better than Takairangi?

BA mentioned at the press conference after we scored we got something like 4-5 sets against their 13 or so. Amazing we only let in one try in that period....

If Nathan Brown is suspended then, Nuikore 13.
Bench Evans, Kaufusi, Taka and Stone( another chance)...(Otherwise W.Smith/Salmon/Field)
I'd like to see more dummy half running when the opportunity presents itself.
There were numerous opportunities last night which Reed didn't take. Btw im a huge fan of Reed.
However more dummy half running when appropriate will also straighten up our attack which tends to go sideways when we start panicking to score.
Surely a 5-10 min stint for a hooker benchy will be good for the attack as in run from dummy half, give Reed a rest and wouldn't be too onerous on the bloke who needs to tackle his heart out for the short stint(s).
Our effort was terrific last night, bar a few lapses in defence. Waqa and Fergo need to start talking. I'm sure next time we play them Josh Morris does not burn us all game..
Taka also provides insurance anywhere in the backs and in the backrow.
Bench rotation from BA has me puzzled.
Need to have a better rotation. Giving blokes like Stone and Terepo very little game time seems pointless. Bench needs to provide impact...that is not happening from 2 of the 4 players at the moment.

Why don't you look at Blake's winning contributions last week. It may answer your question.

I think Gower would offer more than Stone or Peni at this stage, particularly if we are not gonna use Stone for 10-15min to give Reed a rest

But of course we don't know how he has been hitting them in the nets :p

Is Will Smith an option as a 15 min bench player - as dummy half to rest Reed? Would be more explosive at dummy half than just about anyone else in our top 30 - (ducks for cover)

Rorters completed more sets then we had total sets, 7-3 penalties in their favour if we can even those up we’ll go a long way
