Matterson is too valuable in the forwards. Jake Arthur threw more passes than anyone other than Mahoney. Do we really want Matterson just passing the ball? What a waste of his running game.
Essentially Dylan will be passing the ball or stepping like he usually does

Didn't u read what bandwagon wrote?

Dylan can still defend at centre though attacking at 5/8th

Matto normally plays on the edge so it won't be that much different for him in attack

And don't say crap that matto is slow and has poor lateral movement. I saw a few times the attacker just ran around ja

JA is even slower and probably has much slower lateral movement

The young halves that are at the club are Dantoray Lui who has only joined us this year and Ethan Sanders who is 18 playing u/21's. Both could (and probably should) be training with the first grade squad in the off-season but even then they may not be as Jake who will be in his 3rd pre-season.
What about that Jack A Something or rather? Like why do they have to put his middle initial. It's not like we have another jack

well this is boring,

nothing to whinge about

This is not a whinge, but I was pleasantly surprised that we played well below our best - WELL below our best -, and still won convincingly.

Oh, wait - I do have a whinge! Had it not been for that dumb short drop-out, we'd have held them to nil!

Then why not have matto there instead and let him get out of the way. A forward couldve taken the bench spot

Could've, but you put Matto at centre and you lose the contribution he made in the middle, which was arguably MOM worthy. I doubt very much his contribution as a makeshift centre would've been anywhere near as much as his contribution in the middle.

Ponga ran around Arthur, which is what he does to everyone when shown a broken defensive line. As for Matterson, his runs are most valuable in the middle against slower defenders. We would lose that if he needed to be out wide keeping the defence honest. Plus we would lose his work rate.

I don't think it matters whether he starts. It's about minutes played. But he has played the vast majority starting on the edge. It was the Penrith final last year where he first came off the bench and played in the middle.

It must be frustrating when the negative crew have nothing to whinge about. Surely you can find something from yesterday?

Not at all. Reality is I know far more about footy then yourself and have a higher IQ. These are facts and you can not change what is. I'm just a more advanced version of the human race with greater vision, knowledge and wisdom.

Hands looks a more natural player then JA

My Dad almost 80 and followed league longer then most on here.

His words -
I'm starting to like this Simmonson, he is starting to look like an Nrl player.
Perham for his first game did very good.
Makatoa does a lot of work and makes it easier for the other guys to have a rest
Matterson is one of their best forwards and should start.
Shame we are losing Papali'i he will be a loss

The coaches son. He is hopeless. Looks like a chook with his head cut off. Id rather put Cartwright at 5/8

Why is JA hopeless, when it is clear he is filling in and sticking to a game plan?

I really don't get all the hate... he makes his tackles and distributes the ball...

Make sure your old man knows that that was Perham's 12th first grade game, not his first and that Simonsson has played 52 FG games, so lots of professional RL people think he is already an NRL player.
