The sad thing about yesterdays game is that we only started to play when the game was done. So what were our tactics for the first 40 mins? It looked like we had no game plan. Devoid of any skill or just anything.

Our coach must of been kissed on the pecker because the there no way he’s be employed at any other club as head coach with his lack
Of coaching ability. Let alone for 10 years and nothing to show for it. He has no idea. He has no idea how to motivate a team. He has no game plan. Our attack is just disjointed and we are talking about players who have played together for several years now. Our defence is soft. And he’s made terrible signings over the years, the last being Hodgson the dunce.

We need Flanagan as coach a proven winner.

You know you have lost all hope when you are proposing Flanagan..

Was Hopgood a hooker when Penrith signed him in juniors? Maybe he can practice his passing for the next few weeks and handle a few minutes there. Arthur can’t be an option in the middle, too slow and always loses the ruck in defence

With Reg out we need him as a forward taking hit ups

I initially was keen for Flanagan a few years back.

But i dont want him near the joint as I reckon he can't be trusted.

He will weasel in his useless son into the team wherever he coaches.

And the last thing this club needs is Kyle Flanagan playing for us and another round of nepotism claims.

I'm prepared to say with the RCG injury, that if he's injured for while, then we might as well start thinking about 2024 NOW.

We won't finish higher than the bottom 6 from here.

Mate the season's over. It was over the moment we gave up on getting a 3rd or even 4th quality front rower for this season.

Or at least one or two outside backs that can take the hitups that we expect our two main boppers to keep doing now for 3 years and very little support to do so. Something had to give. RCG is still going strong most games, but Junior seems to be struggling.

Potato head coach has managed to slowly destroy our players. They are slowly deteriorating and showing signs of both mental and physical fatigue.

There is only about 15 players and that is being generous, that I would keep at the club from our top 30 next year the rest should all be shown the door.

There are so many great players playing in the lower grades for other clubs that if we were savvy and ruthless we should go in and poach. But we have Glacier as head of football and Patato Head as coach. So very little will change.

Oh for all the posters who think that we need to get an X-factor player and replace gutho, you have rocks in your head. He is our strength not our weakness. Our weakness is front row. We need one more if not two and one centre spot and both wings(unfortunately Sivo is useless unless he is within 20m of the line), but we could carry him no probs if we addressed the other spots. He would also then improve too in his yardage carries because the whole team would then be playing on the front foot. We also need another hooker if we can somehow convince the Geriatric to retire and not take up his option. Otherwise we are stuck with him and won't be able to afford another quality one since the Geriatric is on around $400K and pray that Hands can handle the load and a consistent level.

What is happening now is all teams are learning to start tough against us and pushing the boundaries with offsides and super fast line speed in defense to bustle us and work over our big boys. They know if they can minimise our go forward up front and around the ruck, there is no one else(no big backs(or speed men)that can chip in and wear them out) and therefore then they control the game. They can put all their efforts in a compressed defensive line and nail us. They know we have no plan B. We play the dumbest football. If the offloads aren't working for us we have nothing.

But Potato Head has no idea how or why this is happening. He will just say that the boys didn't chase the collision and or didn't front load their effort. He just doesn't get that they can't keep chasing the collision or frontloading their efforts week in, week out with the deficiencies we have in our player roster. He is dreaming if he thinks this team as is(and that was probably the strongest team we could put on the field this year) can sustain a consistent high standard of the type of football that he wants them to play.

When I saw the Broncos roster put up on the screen before the game last night then compared it to what was ours, I thought Oh Sh*t we will be lucky it we don't get 20+ put on us tonight. So as bad as it was last night(thank God it rain otherwise who knows what the final score could have been) we at least weren't humiliated with a total nightmarish blow out.

Buy now with RCG, our best and most consistent play over the last 3 years, out for who knows how long, we are totally done with a power game. So lets see what master Potato Head comes up with over the next few weeks. Hopefully he wakes up to himself and he convinces Glacier to high prioritise a vital quality signing or two. Otherwise it wouldn't surprise me or I suspect many of us on here, if we only win one or two games max over the remainder of the season. Not joking. If RCG is out long term, you can bank on it.

RCG will be out for 8 to 12 weeks. Unless we find a prop from the UK or somewhere in the NRL we will not make the 8.

I've already posted and with videos that we should be chasing this guy, Mikolaj Oledzki. He is already familiar with wearing the blue and gold, we just have to get him to wear ours. He is currently signed with Leeds Rhinos till 2025, but we all know where there is a will there is a way and a transfer fee included.

I liked your thoughts The Ram, but it was a long read.

For those looking for a summary of this post, I've got ChatGPT to provide us one.

TheRam believes the season is over for their rugby league team because they lack quality players in certain positions, specifically front row and outside backs. They believe that the coach has destroyed the players both mentally and physically, and that only about 15 players from the top 30 should be kept for next year. TheRam suggests that the team should poach good players from lower grade teams but is doubtful that the head of football and coach are capable of doing so. They argue that the team's weakness is in the front row, and they need one or two more players to improve. TheRam also suggests that other teams are starting to toughen up against them and control the game. They are hoping for some quality signings to turn the team's fortunes around.

That was some of the worst TV Ive ever seen. Couldnt hit the off button quick enough. 2 mental midgets and Miss Giggles. Pure garbage.

I don't know why you guys do it to yourselves. I watch the game on delay then as soon as I see a lame performance coming up I fast forward and if it gets ridiculously bad I switch off and delete. As for the after game discussions and analysis, if you can call it that, I know how bad it's going to be, besides I don't want to see our losers make their repetitive endless excuses, so I don't watch that at all.

After a loss who wants to think of footy for a while. I just switch over to a show or movie, a much more enjoyable way to finish the evening then sit there and stewing over our clubs meek and useless and endless mistake riddled performances. When they play like champs, then this champ will give them the time of day and tune in with a smile on my face. Until then, later losers! I've had the jack of you Potato Head!

Life's to short.

Haas and Mam both suspended, Hopgood just a fine.

I'm not normally critical of refereeing decisions, but the decision by the bunker to not even consider the Haas tackle a penalty, considering they intervened on the other two, is an utter disgrace. A complete and utter disgrace. It should have been a penalty, it should've been a sin-bin, and it should've been 13-11. We likely win the game if that was the case. To be honest I don't think that would've been a fair result, but that isn't the point.

Weak gutted dogs these officials we all know why they didn't penalise Hass as it would have been 13-11.

Haas not getting sent probably saved us from embarrassment tbh.

I can just see what would would happened we would made a dumb error 2nd tackle and with 11 men Reynolds would have strangled us for the next 10 mins with his kicking game and probably set up a try.
