I said he's a good player from day one, and was glad we signed him - I want my kudos, damn it!
Yeah look I think most people were happy with the signing (I certainly was given Fergo was gone and Sivo was not due back till mid-season), but his first few outings were underwhelming at best and he copped a bit of criticism.... Hindy111 was forthright in his convictions about judging him come round 10, not round 2...

I didn't know a thing about him until we signed him and TCT started talking him up. He's going alright but I'm not convinced about long term.

they really are

Pou mentioned during the game .... look how many merkins they get in EVERY tackle - not just floppers - 3 merkins smashing the ball runner and driving them backwards

I think its a combination of great fitness and strength
And coaching?

The way Drown plays he could slot in anywhere on the edges. He's shown that already this year.
Drown should only play 6. The only other 2 considerations if and a massive IF needed would be 1 or 9. (Only if Injuries during a game required it)
Don't go moving him again. Dylbro will continue to only get better. We need to lock him up. With him and young guns like Penisini, Russell, Simonsson, Wiremu, Rodwell, Loizou, Dunster there are some good and very good signs.
But I'm with @TheRam I want us to win a premiership. It's been far too long and this year is a massive opportunity.
It's so good to play on a Friday night and win to allow you to enjoy the weekend..
Go you Eels

I think the backline at full strength will be 2.) Sivo 3.) Penisini 4.) Blake 5.) Simonsson and rightfully so.
2. Blake 3.Opacic 4. Penisini 5. Simmondson. I'm not convinced Sivo will be any good when he comes back. Hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see Simmondson at fullback, although Gutherson can't be moved. He's too good there. I reckon simmo's got some serious speed.

At those in the know I have a question for you.
Are we going to offer Matto a new contract...it's a effn must.
Make it happen. Let's not forget we are losing Papalii, Nuikore, Cartwright is not really a starter in BAs eyes and unless we sign Briton Nikora we will be short of backrowers despite the fact Matto plays more as a middle. He is very versatile and playing outstanding this year...give him a contract ASAP

I think we’ll still be expecting a huge amount of runs from Papali’i and our middle forwards, because that’s their strength. I doubt we’ll ever get 60 runs in a game from our back three.

Well we had 44 last night without trying. I'd be surprised if we didn't have games in 2019 /2020 with somewhere near 60 runs for the back three (with Fergo / Sivo / Gutho ). The Panther haven't actually gone close to 60 previously this season (max 50 from what I can easily find).

It obviously depends a lot on how you receive possession.

What if it meant losing Dylan Brown?

Surely it depends on how much he wants to get paid?

They would get 40+ between To’o and Edwards most games. It just depends on the other winger. For us the only member of the back three making 20 runs is Gutherson, and I actually think he’s less effective when he is too involved.

I think most teams would hit 45 runs from their back three every week. When I get home I might have a look but probably won’t.
