Realistic team for 2011

I have memories of Vuna being terrible at centre against the Raiders in the match that (probably) cost us the finals in 2008...

My preference would be to go for McManus there before Vuna, but having said that, I don't think either would necessarily be an option. McManus did play centre in the juniors though - I know roopy has mentioned it on many occasions.

I never saw McManus play wing in the juniors. Always a centre - and the Centre inside Aku for a while too.
The only reason he plays wing in the seniors is because he was promoted into a wing spot in PL and did so well he just stayed there.

Dragons need to relax a clause in his contract according that article. How is that possible if he had a get out clause?

I just heard on Channel Nine news that we are in the running to sign Mark Gasnier who is currently unhappy in union.

Gasnier will want far more money than he is worth.
He has always been a defensive liability, and a few years in Union won't have improved that.

He is perhaps the best centre in the modern era bar Inglis and only Inglis. I'm sure even if he is half the player he was 2 years ago we should still throw at least a billion dollars at him. I mean him and Aku out on the right will score a ton more than they concede!~~

to be fair it's been a while now since we've seen hodges on fire. short memories, what have you done for me lately and all of that...

Gasnier is right up there with Hodges and Inglis on his day. Gaz vs Inglis in gaz's last origin series was awesome.

Hodges was in top form right until the end of last year, obviously did the achilles injury in the off season, but just because he isn't playing right now doesn't mean he can't have the runs on the board! Was carrying the Broncos to an extent...from centre!

Inglis hasn't exactly been on fire this year to take that away from him either.

I just get to see a lot of Hodges mainly because of where I live - the guy is a beast.

I think Inglis is just the best out right. Hodges is also a gun centre. He seems so sluggish but he breaks the line so often its not funny. Gaz on the other hand is twinkle toes at its best!

Call me biased if you must. Acutally just call me baised but watching Matt Gidley and Tahu play was sensational back in the day!

Midley was great but a class below those three.

For arguments sake Tahu was probably close to the best centre in the game the year before he went to union.

Was Andrew Johns suddenly not the best player/halfback in the world in 2004 when he was out for almost the entire season?

And in case i've been misunderstood - I wasn't suggesting that Gaz wasn't the best or equally the best along with the other guys.
