as a fan/gambler it is frustrating that referees can have such an influence, obviously the first try for tigers, but the non penalty of sironen at the end of the first half (the tackled in the air one) lead to a try off that set.

now at 22 - 0 many people may turn off the game as it is "game over" as they see it. disappointing really.

Ref's ruined tonight's game for me inside the first 10. I'm a neutral and still angry at how unfair this game as been. Sea Eagles have been gifted a win. fair tries disallowed to Tigers, bullshit tries awarded to Sea Eagles. As I write this Sea Eagles score off a forward pass that travelled over line with a defender taken out.

Ref's are a joke. Sea Eagles are favourites and being handed every call to make sure it's beyond doubt

Well said, MX. I agree 100%, but as a WT supporter have to accept that I might be biased.
The first try was 4 to us with a kick . . . instead Manly get marched downfield and score, then score again.
The 40-8 scoreline makes it hard to say what if . . . but the game is different had we been allowed that blatant try in the 2nd minute.
The other thing I took from this game is that DCE, who I previously thought was a genuine good guy, is a clone of cameron smith. Grubby head-dragging tackles on Moses all night long.
The darling of the media, and a grub to boot.

He was very ordinary tonight but there are reasons for it - + he was afraid of Toovey's backlash if 1 decision was allowed to go against the Eagles. Every ref gives Manly the rub of the green, it's been happening since Hartley was the "premier" ref.

Dropped from origin because he couldnt get them back 10 metres. Surely that would be the easiest task for a ref.

Hayne was booted after a game in 2004 where he murdered the Wests Tigers against the Raiders.

He hasn't improved but is now considered one of the games premier refs. That says it all.

Wests Tigers were not mentally strong enough to overcome the slew of poor first half calls but credit to Manly regardless for getting the job done.

Andrew John commentating Sea Eagles games is the worst of any bias you will have to tolerate though
