OT, but someone explain to me why they decided to use Archer (hands down the best ref IMO) as a refs coach or whatever he is?

Archer retired at the end of 2012 I believe, shame too.

They need to start getting rid of these jokers on the field and in the box..

Knights/Broncs game was awful too. Penalty count was hilariously lopsided all game. Throw them all out and start again.

Train replacements and slowly replace them.. Do it over next 2 seasons

I called it on Manlys 2nd last try it was a no try Ref goes to box as a try video needed to check it 5 times.... If he needed to check it that much he will call a try.

There's good refs outside the NRL but as far as I'm aware they have to move to Sydney to get a start, right there, that is a problem.

Refs and video refs (they are even worse) are ruining the game

The NRL is a joke.

Thurston and the Cows have every right to say thats it we are not coming down to Sydney anymore what is the point.

First things first. Make them get some f**king decent haircuts, does that merkin Badger think he's a teenager again.

You've got 2 refs on the field, 2 on the sidelines and 2 in the video ref box... That's 6 people officiating, 5 refs and one ex-player, it's just too many people involved.

The touchies need to get involved more and there should only be video ref challenges, say 2 per team

I love that when referees make complete and utter howlers week in, week out, the referees bosses always stand by them and the argument that there is a shortage of 1st grade referees so we can't go sacking them gets peddled out....

.... But when a group of them stages a bit of an uprising trying to get a change in management, suddenly they have no trouble making wholesale demotions and sacking half the referees in a week :roll:

You don't think they train people now? These guys are the best there is... Unless all the punters out there who would be so much better actually put their hand up and do it, then we are stuck with them.
