Not to mention that you can put cheats on the older games these days so you can beat the game and see that ending you never quite got to accomplish (or just go on YouTube and watch someone else do it)
That's right. What about save states? Now you can save the game wherever you want and play it again later in case something happens or you need to go somewhere (or try it again if you die etc...), and for someone like me, I can make videos for my Youtube channel Speaking of which, I might make one this week or next - a Sega Master System compilation *cheers*Not to mention that you can put cheats on the older games these days so you can beat the game and see that ending you never quite got to accomplish (or just go on YouTube and watch someone else do it)
I have my old stuff mainly for collection/nostaligia purposes. Wouldn't trade them or sell them for anything. However...
When it comes to actually playing old games I usually go with the emulator. It's convenient, reliable and looks better on these newfangled LCD screens.
Can that be done? Not as restro as some, but I got an N64 emulator the other day on my laptop and fired up 007. So good, but I only have the xbox controller for it, might pick up an N64 controller and convert it to USB!
Well hot dogYou can buy adapters online for a decent price, you can also get generic lookalikes but they never feel right
Half the game is getting the cartridge to work.
Nothing worse than spending 3 or so minutes getting a game to work only to find all your save data erased. My copy of DKC3 is worn to the bone.
Can anyone recommend some Sega Mega Drive games for me? As weird as it sounds, I didn't play that one much back in the day!
That was EASY man. Those bull statues were a menace to the enemies that would be coming for you lol. Firstly, a bull would jab one enemy, and his knife would come flying to the floor next to you. You throw it at him, then when he comes at you again, the Bull would jab him again, killing him. Second time round, same scenario, except the dynamite would kill him :lol:I remember the palace at the end of Double Dragon was so hard. You had those statues on the walls with spears and they would stab you as you walked past and you would fall off the platform.
Great stuff, once you got really good at it the challenge was trying to finish it with just one credit.
TMNT was also a great arcade game as you could play 4 players at the same time.
