Also try sexy paridous for me.

TMNT was also a great arcade game as you could play 4 players at the same time.

It and Street Fighter II were the 2 arcade games that I use to volunteer to get the Friday Night Fish & Chips just so I could play.

Had that one on an old Amstrad 128K PC

The New Zealand Story

Had that on Nintendo NES Could only ever get up to Waitomo Caves. (3rd Level)

Been to all 3 of the places of the 3 levels

...so you were only allowed to play it if you bought F&C??

Sexy Paridous - is that game similar to Gals Panic?

No it's a series on games that spun off from the gradius series.

One of my favourite shoot em ups of all time. Paridous da I would would suggest you play first to learn. The other 2 games in the paridous series are bullet hell shoot em ups.

Yep, would be up for advice on Handheld emulators...especially in regard to running MAME. Doesn't need massive power as the games I'm interested in are the 80s arcade games especially.
Thought about looking at a PSP, but tbh I'm just not that clever with computer hacking this n that, I'm a simple gamer! An open sourced handheld is probably the way for me.
The Gamegadget had so much potential but is just terrible...although I do have an older cheap Blaze unit and SD card with all the megadrive games on and that's okay...enough for a reasonable blast.
There's a new opensourced handheld looking for kickstarter funding atm and that looks a nice looking unit, otherwise the Dingoo or something like that might be the way for me:)

Psp's are just so cheap at the moment that I figure if it does most of the older stuff well, then I can also have some psp gaming on top of that, so the best of both worlds really.

Up to 1990 running 100% would be perfect. Mictism, if it all comes back well I will post instructions on how to do it for you, including some links to the correct set of games to get, cause newer sets from my limited research aren't as good as mame final (which is code for its really only supporting games up to 1990, and I know there have been approx 80 sets since then)

Cheers for that, might do some homework on handheld emus too, it's a great way to have all your faves from all the systems of your youth without dedicating a room to old crap! ;-)

Every single game on every single console from your childhood can fit into this little thing below.

Quite extraordinary really.

Real-Deal over emulators. I've still got all my original consoles at home, I've tried the emulators and it's just not the same for me. I love the consoles. Just feels original and nothing is epic like pizza, beer and some goldeneye.

Hate playing shooters on iPads because the movement controls are so unintuitive, but I'll give this a crack. Marathon 2 (in particular) consumed a whole lot of my teen years.

Free on PC as well! Goodbye free time :-D
